Tannehill

Brutal setback for a team finally playing to their talent. In fact it looked like Tanny was finally coming into his own as well. Fortunately for phins fans the ACL isnt torn which is huge. There are reports saying he might be back for the playoffs and knowing this guy he will. You have to remeber this dude is tough as nails. Been hit more times then any qb over the last 5 years and has never missed a game until now. Also, the phins are built around their run game and defence so as long as Matt Moore doesnt completely shit the bed this team will be right in the thick of things come playoff time.

Jeff Fisher canned

Never thought you see the day did ya rams fans? Its beautiful isnt it? That cons artist walrus is finally finished. You knew the man was on his way out when he started calling out the front office. A front office that has actually given him a lot of talent only to have him completely screw it up. Seriously, this team has had playoff caliber talent for a while. Leave it to the guy with the most losses in history to fuck it up. Despite the whole were division rivals thing, I am happy for rams fans. Four and a half years of punt fakes, lost challenge flags and prehistoric offences gone. Must feel good. P.S. That report of the rams wanting Pete Carroll were pretty funny. Yeah hes gonna leave the Hawks to go to a division rival, ok Kroenke. I hear the Browns are interested in Belicheck too.

cards roundup

Its been a while but my absence is justified, I swear. Truthfully, its that time of year were eveyr college student drowns in misery and contemplates dropping out and living as a hermit. Yes, I mean exam time. So I apologize to the two people who actually read this shit. Back to the nitty-gritty. Being a cards fan sucks again. We had a good run for awhile there but were back home in mediocrity. Everyone is fucking injured and the special teams stinks once again. Same story different day. As for the game, holy fuck. It was like a pissing contest between two teams trying their best ot out-turnover each other. A god damn embarrassment. The offence woke up late but guess what, our fuckin kicker left 5 points off the board. Can you guess how much we lost by...3 points. Im tired of special teams killing an otherwise above average team, thats now five games weve lost because our backups cant tackle. Also fuck Justin Bethel, dude gets exposed by Matt Moore fuck out of here. P.S. Can you feel...

What about David Johnson?

I know what your thinking. The Cardinals fan is butthurt about his shitty team and somehow thinks people dont know about David Johnson. Look, your not wrong. He gets credit but lets take a deeper look. Ezekiel Elliott who has less yards from scrimmage, plays behind a much better oline and is a worse receiver is an MVP candidate. I guess wins factor into the equation as the Cowboys are hot in the streets. Last I checked though, the MVP was the most valuable player. The argument can be made that no one has been more valuable then David Johnson. He is third in the league in rushing and is second on the Cardinals in catches and yards. He has more tds then Zeke and has been tasked with single handily carrying an offence. Look I'm not gonna say Elliott isnt an MVP candidate, he is arguably the candidate. However, if he is considered the front runner then why is DJ's name not even in the conversation. Definitely something to consider. P.S. If were crowning mutherfuckers, Derrick Car...

Miami Dolphins #1

Your boy Adam Gase can coach. Anyone who has watched the phins the last few years knows that talent has never been the issue. This is a team that needed an identity and a hard nosed, smart coach to milk the talent out of the proverbial tit. Who would have thought that Ryan Tannehill can actually throw when hes not getting pounded every play. There is thing called running the ball and apparently it helps your qb. Speaking of which Jay "fuckin" Ajayi is the real deal and the straw that stirs the drink. His play has allowed a slightly above average qb to take advantage of a couple of sick receivers in Jarvis Landry and Devante Parker. The defence is finally playing up to its potential and it all starts with the 100 million dollar man. Its funny how Suh gets the credit when they win and the flack when they lose. Last year the narrative was how they paid too much for him and this year he is the "difference". Well breaking news folks, he has played virtually the same both...

Cards Round Up

Rock bottom and it sucks dick. Its a real testament to the job Arians and Kiem have done for 4-6-1 to be rock bottom. But the point remains this is the worst. Fans of shitty teams will say something along the lines of "oh you have no idea". Well I do, actually its just a little different. When everyone is sucking your dick in the offseason and writing reports like "Cards are a superbowl contender" then yeah rock fucking bottom is essentially being eliminated from the playoffs. Expectations and talent level play a huge part in how you should feel about your team. This is essentially a worst case scenario for this team no ifs ands or buts about it. We've given our coach a heart attack and everything that can go wrong has went wrong. Yesterdays game was a perfect example of this. Started the game firing on all cylinders only to be dismantled by our own stupidity. Penalties, mental mistakes and shitty oline play caused us to be eviscerated by a team that we should h...

Colts-Pitt

The steelers get their second cupcake game in a row. It must be nice to face the Browns and a luck-less colts team in back-to-back weeks. Bell has a monster game and Anonio Brown chips in a couple tds. The steelers get their grove back on offence. A leaky defence minus Cam Heyward, makes Scott Tolzien look a little too good. The steelers get the win but questions persist about how good this team truly is. Pitt 35-20. not too much to say about this one

Washington-Dallas preview

Your game of the day. This game features a balanced and potent cowboys attack lead by two rookies on the Cowboys side. On the Redskins side you have an upstart qb who loses his fuckin mind after every big play and running back affectionately named "fat". Both defences are under appreciated untis that are capable of holding their own. The real story here is the Cousins-Prescott duel. These are two qbs who have been playing lights out recently. Cousins has been carrying the Skins potent offence, while Prescott has been methodically throwing the ball at an efficiency never seen by a rookie. Both defences face a significant challenge. The redskins stout and athletic front seven will have their hands full with a powerful cowboys line and maybe the best running back in the game in Ezekiel Elliott. This matchup will decide the game. If the skins can limit elliott and force Prescott to win the game, they will take it. For the Cowboys defence, their secondary needs to be on point. The...

Minnesotta-Detroit preview

Holy fuck this game actually means something, who would have thought. A couple scrappy team matching up on American turkey day for the divsion lead. On the one side you have sneaky MVP candidate Matt Stafford and his cast of underatted weapons. On the other side you have everyone's favorite googly eyed fuck Sam Bradford and his sputtering, yet effective offence. Minnesotta's defence is nasty and Detroits is just good enough to keep them going. This is gonna be your classic divisional showdown. Both teams will beat the fuck out of each other and a couple big plays will decide it. I see Minnesota sneaking by, similar ot what they did to my poor Cards. The offence has one or two big plays, defence scores a td and Patterson has a big return on special teams. The lions will stay in it with a couple deep balls from Stafford but the special teams and a costly turnover late will seal their fate. 23-14 Minnesota.

Cards roundup

I know I'm mad late on this recap blog. I have spent this week wallowing in the sorrow of another heartbreaking victory while busting my ass getting ready for exam season. Better late then never right? Anyways, what is there to say. The same problems that have been plaguing us all year came to the forefront. Oline is swiss cheese (espically minus veldheer), deepball is non-exisitent and special teams fuckin stinks. Combine that with another absentee performance from Nelson and Brown and you have a full fledge implosion of a once great team. The refs fuck us in the ass, there is no way around that but the difference in this game were two plays. Scratch that, two preventable plays. Patterson's ridiculous kick return and Rhodes pick six. A Cardinals insider said it best: this is no longer a good team playing poorly, this is an average team playing average as fuck. On the plus side, the defence is a force to be reckoned with. They have only allowed 7 passing tds all year, the combo...

Saints-Panthers preview

This might be the one. The game that breaks the recent trend of disgusting Thursday night games. Both teams are compelling and very entertaining despite their records. In fact whenever these two come together there is some serious offensive fireworks. Look for the Saints trio of dynamic receivers to absolutely feast on the Panthers pathetic stable of corners. The Panthers will counter with a dynamic run game against one of the softer defences in the league. Expect fireworks. Key matchup of the game is Kelvin Benjamin against Delivn Breaux. Breaux is no slouch but has struggled to round in to form since returning from hsi broken leg. He was exposed last week against Demarius Thomas and Benjamin is a similar receiver so it will be interesting. For the Saints it will be Fleener/Hill against the Panthers safeties and backers. Fleener exploded last time they faced off and tight end defence has really been an issue for these Panthers as of late. These two matchups will decide the game as the...

Von Millers porn tape

SO apparently Von Miller, the weirdest hipster, chicken farming son of a bitch in the NFL has a sex tape. Colour me not surprised, Miller's always been a weird cat. He wears those fucked up glasses, used to do a bunch of drugs and stars in weird commercials So this is basically par for the course. The problem here is that some gold digging whore is trying to extort him by threatening to sell the tape to TMZ. The price, a cool 2.5 million. My favourite part of this story is that (until today) this chick just remains nameless in the reports. She is extorting him and is referred to as "the women", get the fuck out of here. If your gonna literally whore yourself out for money then your name shouldn't be private. This is not some minor going to court, this is an "instagram model" who willing made a sextape and is now trying to extort Von. Its just mind blowing how his reputation is the only one being dragged through the mud. Such is the social climate, women rule...

Goff to start

I dont like this at all. This a classic case of a team caving to the pressure of the media. The rams had a plan for Goff and now they are going back on that plan. Whether this works out or not remains to be seen but a dangerous precedent is being set. If the media can bully you into a qb change, are you really that good of a coach? Of course not and we already knew that, this is Jeff fisher were talking about here. On the flip side this could work out very well and the Rams could actually be in the playoff hunt. At the very least Todd Gurley is thanking the heavens that there is a qb capable of getting that tenth man out of the box. This is a lot of pressure for a guy who the rams had to remake to fit their offence. Rams fans shouldn't be worried about his physical attributes but the mental side of the game. It was always the little things with Goff. Taking snaps under centre, dropping back and calling a play in the huddle will be his challenge. The lack of a competent line will hi...

Why does Jeffery need roids

Wierd news out of Chitown yesterday. One of the most physically gifted receivers in the league got booked for PEDS. Hes not the usual type to get booked for something like this. Hes not old as shit, athletically limited or having a retardedly good season out of nowhere, hes a freak of nature whos always been sick. Why Alshon? I dont even think roids would help you at this point. You won the genetic olympics, roids are for guys like me who can barely keep muscle on. The worst part about this is this a contract year. You know my man just lost a shitton of cash on the open market. On the bright side there is less of a chance of him getting injured playing for that CFL team they call the bears.

Cards Roundup

As gross of a win as youll ever seen. Multiple chances to bury them but turnovers on offence and a lack of contain on defence kept them in it. The old adage "a wins win" is what I have been repeating to myself for the last 48 hours in a desperate attempt to convince myself this team isnt painfully average. Unfortunately, they are. This can change but until I see something better then a 23-20 win over a pile of trash that is what they will continue to be. Now there are some positives here. Micheal Floyd woke the fuck up. Floyd is like Robert Horry, just coasts through the first half the season cashing his checks and not giving a fuck. Right when people start to say hes shit he goes out and totally redeems himself the second half of the season. Its just one game against a dumpster fire but 100 yards is 100 yards. Fitz was a fuckin animal (12 for 133) and Palmer for all of his shit turnovers showed up when it mattered. On defence Chandler Jones continues to prove that he deserve...

Browns-Ravens recap

Gross game all around. I mean I dont know what I expected but the optimist in me wanted to see a good back and forth. Thats what I get for trusting the Browns. The underatted story here is the fact that the Ravens just arent very good. Flacco is flacco, the same guy hes been his entire career. Inconsitencies, with just enough of a hot streak to keep them in the playoff conversation. The problem for them is they lack a good back. This offence is at its best when they can run the ball effectively and then Flacco can toss bombs down the field. They dont have that right now as Terrence West is so bad the browns cut his ass. Their defence is not bad but for them to do anything they need a running game. Cleveland looks like a team headed in the right direction....talent wise. Bare with me here. Coleman and Pryor will be an excellent Reciver duo for the near future, Kessler is actuallya lot better then I thought and the Crowell, Johnson combo is relatively competent. Their oline and defence a...

Romo's back but who gives a shit?

The answer is that crazy bastard Jerry Jones. At this point he is a glorified Al Davis who loves old qbs as much as Al loves speed. The good news for Cowboys fans is that this call is more then just his. You saw it with the Johnny Manziel fiasco. Stephen Jones really runs the show and the family ties allow him to literally put Gramps in restraints. But you keep Jerry happy, you let him run his mouth and stir the pot and when it comes down to it Steve makes the call. The key is to make Jerry feel like he actually made the call. Very unfortunate that Mark Davis was too busy going to Hooters while his pops ran the Raiders into the ground. If the Boys actually put Romo back in they will ruin Dak's confidence. Not to mention at some point Romo will get hurt and/or lose them a game with a shitty pick. They will then have to have that awkward convo with Dak. Do the right thing Dallas, Prescott makes you a contender for the next 10 plus years. Romo maybe has one more good year left. No con...

Dear Trump, Love BB

Gotta love the surprise and outrage that came with this. Belicheck is the most obvious Trump guy out there. If you think an upper middle class guy who lives in Boston is not voting Trump then your crazy or just delusional. I think the part that most people were confused about was BB expressing himself. That letter was so uncharacteristically out there that was almost hard to believe captain mumbles himself actually wrote it. To his credit the hoodie maneuvered one hell of a spin zone when he said that the letter was out of friendship. He went on to say that he is also friends with John Kerry, a liberal. Say what you want about BB but he is excellent at controlling the media. The fact remains, darth vader, like a number of Americans voted for the Donald and as a result we are in for a hell of ride. P.S. I know you love political opinions from some dumbass Canadian blogger but I have to toss this in here. All you idiots whining on social media need to relax. When is the last time a pre...

Deflated balls make a return

Wow, I thought we were done with PSI's, ball weight or anything to do with air pressure but here we are. This time its the Seacocks punter Johnny Ryan, just kicking the shit out of a ball that looks as flabby as my ever-growing gut. I'm gonna call this right now, 100 percent this gets swept under the rug. The team will get some preverbal slap on the wrist because the league is all on Pete Carrolls dick and things will be forgotten by last week. Tom Brady is probably losing his fuckin mind right now. Look, I'm a known NFL critic but the thing they consistently do wrong is they are not consistent. You will see an issue occur a number of times and the result is different everytime. Lets take a look at the media's favourite topic: domestic violence. You have Ray Rice getting two game and then a year because goddell is spineless. Josh Brown does it but the case is much worse: one game and then a year because, you guest it  Goddell is a pussy. Ray Macdonald, suspended for his...

The NFL loves the Seahawks

What kind of shit was that game last night? I mean I know it was sick and everything but the officiating was atrocious. The NFL has been obsessed with the Seahawks for sometime now. Richard Sherman holds every fuckin play and non one bats an eye. Every fifty fifty call comes up Seahawks, see the Detriot game last year. So it was only fitting that this injustice would continue against the bills. You have Sherman jumping offside on a kick, basically snapping the kicker in two and he gets an offside penalty. Could you imagine if that was Ndamokung Suh or anyone on the Patriots. The league would have suspended him for at least a game. But its good old seattle, lets leave it alone or Richard Sherman will play the race card. Speaking of that punk bitch his bullshit was on ful display. The interception where he stared down the bills bench, again anyone else gets a taunting penalty for looking at the ref not Sherm. There was the last play of the game where he just murdered the reciever in the ...

TB-ATL Preview

Cant catch a fuckin break with these games. I know when the league scheduled it, the game looked real good. There was no way to anticipate Vinny Jacksons injury or every Tampa running back going down but such is the NFL. I'm forever the optimist and part of me thinks this will be closer then we think. Tampa has Jameis and Evans, and ATL's defence is absolute dog shit. We know ATL can score with the best of them. Im just really hoping Tampa came to play because we could be looking at a shootout here. Who doesnt love a good shoot out on a nondescript Thursday. Prediction: Atlanta continues their dominance through the air against a shaky secondary but their front seven shuts down ATLs excellent running back duo. Tampa falls behind by a few scores early and totally abandones the running game. Jameis has a signature night and Tampa almost pulls off the comeback but a certain awful kicker fucks everything up. Im gonna say this game will be suprisingly close: 32-26, Roberto Aguayo m...

Josh Huff

Huff was arrested for speeding, a little bit of the devil's lettuce and a gun. He was then released by the Philapdelphia eagles. Shit like this blows my mind. Hire a driver, smoke your weed at your mansion and maybe you dont need a gun everywhere you go. Your rich bro, have some schmuck drive you around and have him take the fall if you ever get pulled over. I'm sure you can find a million guys who would stay sober and drive your ass around. Now your out of job. When you are only a minor contributor on an NFL team, shit like this sticks. When you compare the loss of salary to what you would be paying for in a fall guy and its so fuckin worth it. That being said this guy is too quick and versatile to stay on the market for long. Can someone say Patriots.

Norv Turner steps down

Wierd, Weird move. Sure the offence is absolute garbage in Minnesota but they literally have no one of note accept Rudolph. The line is junk (Smith and Khalil on IR), Bradford is Bradford, receivers are average and so are Mckinnon and Asiata. Its a no win situation and maybe Norv Turner recognized that. Guy is way to old to put up this Sam Bradford charade that somehow tricked people not 3 weeks ago. Norv's scene it all and I know he doesn't want to remembered as the guy who couldn't put up 17 points a game. Its almost too much pressure with how good that defence is. I'll always remember Norv as the fuckin idiot who couldn't win with LT but the guy can coach. You have to think this is the end for him. We might see him in a "consultant" role soon enough but I'd be surprised if he coached another offence. Time to panic Vikings fans.

Percy Harvin is back

I knew this retirement thing wouldnt last. Guy was just physically beatdown and needed some time to recuperate. Couldn't come at a better time if your a buffalo fan. They are in desperate need of a spark on offence with the injuries to Mccoy and Watkins. Even if hes only a boost on returns and gadget plays, its still a plus. Guy is a volatile son of a bitch with speed and elusiveness to kill. This is either gonna be perfect or he will blow up chemistry ala Seattle.

Jamie Collins

Brutal trade. This Pats defence is nothing to write home about and trading your best player on that side of the ball is questionable. Collins is one of the best kept secrets in the league. Hes huge, can play inside and outside backer. He can also rush the passer, cover tight ends and rush from the end position. Did he want Von Miller money? absolutely, does he deserve it? I think so. At the very least the Pats could have franchised him after this year and had him for another year before talking contract. A very strange move for a team that is seemingly win now every fuckin year. Also, I thought the whole point of gift wrapping us chandler jones was so they can keep Collins. Gotta love Bill though, team first or ill send ya to Cleveland. In all seriousness though Cleveland needs cornerstones on their roster and giving collins what he wants would be a major step in the right direction.

Cards Roundup

Fuck this is starting to get frustrated. Look, I will openly admit that this team is not as good as I thought they were. However, the way that we have lost some of these games is actually ridiculous. There was the shitty snap in week 1, the league making up rules for Bob Wagner last week, the bad snap in Buffalo and then this week. We got outplayed this week plain and simple. The Panthers jumped down our throats early and dominated the first half. To the credit of this team, they kept fighting and almost came all the way back. My big issue was obviously the Palmer fumble. You gotta love when the officials call it one way on the field and then the league tells you latter that it was the wrong call. That was obviously a pass, any retard could have seen that. Also the penalties we got were a little ridiculous. Many of them were warranted but some of the holding calls we got in the second half were borderline ludacris. Anytime you have a 2 and 44, the officials might be calling a few to ma...

Jared Goff

Can we talk about qb development for a second here? The amount of people who have no fuckin idea what they are talking about is astounding. The trend right now is toss your rookie in. If he flourishes, all the power to ya but if he struggles you may have just done irreparable damage to his psyche and confidence. I get it, you give up that many draft picks, you want to see the guy be an instant starter. It doesnt always work that way though. Take Jared Goff. He has talent out the ass but he is just not ready for the NFL yet. That doesnt make him worse then qbs like Prescott or Wentz, it just means he isnt ready yet. Hes got the body of a twelve year old, has never called plays at any level and just learned how to take a snap under centre in training camp. These are all a product of the system he played in at university and high school (accept for the build thing, lift one weight for me). Since the Rams offence is from 1982, calling the plays at the line and taking snaps under centre are...

Fitztragic

Gotta love Ryan Fitzpatrick. Career backup and pseudo-starter who is just good enough to get you to 9-7. You also have to respect the ego that this average sun of a bitch has. He has one good year with the Jets, thanks to an all star recieving duo and Brandon Marshalls jump ball prowess. But of course he jokes and they dont make the playoffs. He spent the offseason asking for star qb money, which is nuts when your that old and that average. He finally gets a deal, shows up late and proceeds to unravel on the field. Following a two game stretch where he threw 9 picks he was benched. Geno Smith comes in and instantly tears his ACL (which is so Geno it hurst). SO they go back to Fitz and he leads them to an ugly win. Guy gets a second chance and takes the job back. Instead of being humbled by the situation he decides to call out the only organization who still thinks hes a starter. Specifically, he said the Jets owner, coach and GM lost faith in him. Oh did they Ryan? you threw six picks ...

Cards roundup

Im exhausted, hungover and confused. What in the actual fuck did I watch? I mean, at least we didnt lose to Seattle, so thats a positive right? The defence is a huge fuckin deal which makes me happy because they were awful the first bit of the year. I'm not too concerned about the offence as they are too talented to be this bad. Also Seattle's defence is ok, not sure if you guys know. I mean there are good teams and bad teams but, as an NFL fan are you ever worried about your special teams making or breaking a game for you? Sure not every kicker is gonna drain that 44 yard game winner but the fact that our kicking game has legit lost use 3 games and forced one tie is fucked. As a fan of a professional football team and a good one at that I shouldnt be fuckin nervouse attempting a muthafuckin 24 yard field goal but the here we fuckin are! I cant take these nail bitters anymore, your important players do their jobs and you cant do something a high school team can do, really? Now ...

One of Cromarties wives has something to say

One of the million chicks linked to Antonio Cromartie has come out and taken a stand against the Colts. According to her, Cromartie was cut not because he stunk up the field in Jacksonville but his political beliefs. She claims that it was because he knelt during the anthem. Lets get one thing straight here, Cro is over the hill. No team touched him this offseason and the Colts only brought him in because their entire secondary was hurt. If he plays even half decent he doesnt get cut. It actually blows my mind that she actually thinks this was the reason. What planet do you live on right now? Teams put up with so much shit from even the most average of starters. If you can play, you can get away with a shitton, including kneeling during the anthem. That shit is mainstream now, no one is getting cut for it. Your husband stinks now. Maybe worry about all of the sidepieces this guy has? Hes got like 10 kids with 9 women. I think youve got bigger problems babe.

Cam sliding into DMs

Newton and his wierd as way internet communication got blown the fuck up when he tried to slide into this chicks DMs. First of all, the font he writes in is some made up shit. Secondly, I can confimr that this guy is one weird muthafucka. If you didnt know by his Willy Wonka tophats hes a little different then the rest of us. Also the way he was talking to this chick was goddamn hilarious. Hes calling this chicks husaband a "sucka ass" and giving her the name "my killa". Anyways just athletes doing dumb athlete shit. So this chick goes and blows him up on the internet and the only one who gets in trouble is Cam. Not the chick who sent their private convo to website to post. Oh and did I mention this married chick was responding and flirting with him? Cause she was. I just love how she remains nameless in all of this shit. This is the norm though. Some celebrity cheats on his wife or gets blown up by some random chick, he gets crucified and the chick just gets to fuc...

Geno Smith to start

ahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahhahahaha! Have fun Jets, back to square one baby. You better hope that Bryce Petty isnt gimmicky or that CHristian Hackenburg can magically find some accuracy. We have seen this movie before and this fuckin guy will maybe last a week under centre.

Vontaze gonna Vontaze

I dont know about you guys but I love this fuckin goon. He is the football equivalent of an enforcer. Just decapitating guys during the play and trying to snap ACL's after the play. Oh and did I mention he is one hell of a talent. This is the classic you want him on your team but dont want to play against him kind of guy. So his latest antic was trying to take out Martellus Bennett's ACL, which I dont mind cause that guy is fuckin loser. He also tried to step all over Blount after a play near the goaline. As far as the pileup goes, you cant let him in there. You have to know that a big scary dude named Vontaze is probably gonna snap some necks when hes not cashing his checks. The oline has gotta protect Blount like they would protect Brady and this shit never would have happened. You just gotta be better New England. Burfict is gonna Burfict and the game is just so much better with him out there. Every good league has a villain.

Martin suffers a setback

Its been tough in Tampa. Jameis looks like he did his last at year at florida state, their kicker sucks a bag of dicks and the muscle hamster has been on the shelf. Martin was supposed to return this week but he suffered a setback and there is no timetable for return. This is tough for a player who is either the best back in the league or an absolute scrub. There seems to be no inbetween for him. In a contract year, this is really gonna hurt his value on the open market. If only he embraced the muscle hamster nickname.....it feels like all this could have been avoided.

Shaq's back

Buffalo is getting stronger. A scary thing to consider after they just ripped off four straight. Now their defence is getting back their first round pick to pair with the out of nowhere Lorenzo Alexander. Combine this with Darues's return and we are looking at a bills team on the rise. Of course Rex is still the coach so you can expect 2-3 losses on sure mismanagement. This team might actually be in the playoff picture. This is until they decide to be Buffalo and end up 9-7. Yup there gonna charm us for a while, then lose a couple in a row and finally they will be one game short of the playoffs. Then heads will role. Its a damn shame because the Ryan brothers on the same team makes for excellent theater.

Josh Brown loves beating his wife I guess

NFL when will you learn. Weed good, beating women bad. Whats changed since Ray Rice, fuck all. They gave him a little one game suspension, thats it. I know the charges were dropped but when has the NFL ever given a shit about proof. Your accussed your guilty....but only sometimes. Maybe because hes a kicker and no one gives a shit? I dont know man, more details are coming about and this story is about to blow the fuck up. Meanwhile Martavis Bryant is rotting a way for a year cause of the weed. Also not really the best time for the league considering the whole no one is watching footbal anymore thing. When will you learn Roger? Probably never.

Cards-Jets preview

This game stinks to high heaven. Classic trap game, dont even know if I am allowed to say that when this team has been junk. Nonethless, the jets have been worse but they do have one ace in the hole. Muthafuckin Todd Bowles, our former defensive coordinator is the Jets head coach. So we have to try and beat a guy with intiment knowledge of our personnel and scheme. A little scary if you ask me. However, the fact is we are just plain better at key positions. Their corners are dogshit, our recievers are sick. Their qb sucks and PP and Mathieu are licking their chops. Their run game is nothing to write home about so the passrushers should feast on the omish qb known for his interceptions. I am confident but some part of this game doesnt feel right. 32-20: Game is close until the fourth and the cards seal the game with a long john brown td

Brock Osweiler and Andrew Luck are the same person

This is not a physical comparison nor is it a playing style comparison. It is however a mentality comparison. The fact that bothe these guys can play super sub par for 3 quarters and then turn into the best quarterback in the league in the fourth is actually fuckin ridiculous. We seen it from Luck, time and time again. Youc could see from Brock last night. Guy played one of the worst first halves Ive seen in a while and what did he do? Just pranced around the sideline with that stupid ass grin on his face. You can tell the guy is probably a mutherfucker to deal with. Then down 23-9, with boos showering down on him, the lanky fuck pulled an andrew luck and marched his team down the field twice to tie it. The game goes to OT and he fuckin wins it, pure ice in his vains. Now I know you guys are thinking Im over reacting but look at his body of work. He beat New England and Cincy in OT last year. This is a guy with unlimited confidence and a winners mentaility. Sure hes raw but all of this...

Carolina is dead

Sucks for them. I mean I dont really know what they expected when they had the offseason they had. They drafted players at positions of strength (dtackle), let their star cornerback walk and refused to address the human turnstile that is Mike Remmers. When you trot out a practice sqaud db to cover Brandin Cooks, your gonna have a bad time. When you start a million rookies in the secondary, your gonna have a bad time. People are surprised about this and I cant figure out why. Sure I thought they would still make the playoffs because Cam is well Cam but everyone thought they were a lock for the NFC championship game (which is insane). Now they sit at 1-5 and their season is essentially done. I just hope they take the L on this one instead of doing something drastic like firing Gettleman or Rivera. You win some seasons you lose some seasons. Expectations are bitch arent they?

Big Ben tears up his knee

Another year, another wierd game where Big Ben checks in and out of a game with an injury. Thats what that Miami game was, that game that happens once a year where Ben gets hurt and then goes back into to the game to get hurt more. This time it is a torn meniscus but rest assured steelers fans, this giant (seemingly unbreakable), caveman of a qb will be back soon. He'll be back in two weeks with a giant knee brace and somehow toss 4 tds against baltimore. Being a steelers fan must be weird. You are guaranteed to have your star back suspended or injured and your qb play 3 half games because he doesnt know when hes hurt. They will still make the playoffs somehow.

Oddell and kicking net part 3

I'm almost tired of talking about this but I have to say, the guy had me going for a bit. When he first fought it, I was like "classic Oddell, fuck that peacock looking muthafucka". Then he scored a td and made up with the kicking net, at which point I actually gained a little respect for him. Anyone who is self aware is good in my book. Then in classic Oddell fashion, he just kept doing shit with the kicking net. Now I'm back to my original stance. Fuck this frosted tip, diva and his weird homo-erotic behaviour (I am assuming the kicking net is a guy). You were so close on turning the tide, making fun of yourself and toning shit down is a great way to get the media off your back. I totally forgot this kid is a weird, sensitize millennial. That being said, hell of a game for the kid

San Diego-Denver preview

San Diego jumps ahead early on in this game and then they figure out a wierd way to turn the ball over and Denver wins. No, in all seriousness I think this will be a good game. Paxton Lynch isnt ready for the league quite yet. With Trevor Siemian questionable and the Chargers losing players are a retarded rate this could be a very interesting game. Both teams are ridiculously unpredictable. The two things I am confident in are Philip Rivers and the Denver defence. Rivers will throw 300 yards to receivers whose names you dont know and Denvers defence will do something ridiculous to keep them in the game. This is why I am confident this will be a good one. This is not a game you should bet on but the Chargers will hand this game to Denver at some point. This is why the Broncos will win a close game in ridiculous fashion when someone not named Rivers inevitably fucks shit up. 23-21 Broncos

Tresman out in Baltimore

Go back to the CFL Mark, this game is not for you. Gotta love his strategy with the Ravens. So we have a qb who excels with a strong run game and play action. I know, lets spread the field and throw the ball short while ignoring the running game. Your a genius Mark. We have a bunch of deep threats at reciever, we should probably stretch the field. What are you gonna do Mark? throw the ball short. We have a team built on a power running and play action, fuck it lets lead the league in pass attempts. The mind of Mark Tresman, what a place. So I hear the CFL is always hiring, go back there and your "fuck the running back, run the same system regardless of personnel approach" should go over well up north. They dont even know how to run the ball in the CFL, you should fit in fine

Kaepernick to start

Alright buddy, you got what you wanted. You made yourself relevant again by becoming a social activist. You became the most popular backup qb in the history of the NFL despite your diminishing skills. You showed up to training camp skinny as fuck with a gazillion injuries and pouted. Now lets see if Americas most notorious athlete can still actually play the game hes being payed millions to play. Does Kaep even care about being a qb anymore or is he just using his status to make political noise to ensure his relevance remains intact when he inevitably is out of a job. My guess is he flashes with a couple good games, the niners finish with six wins max and then Chip Kelly trades away everybody in the offseason. If there is one thing I do know, this will bring interest to the least interesting team in the NFL.

Dak or Tony

Certified dumb ass and stripper lover Jerry Jones dropped an excellent amount of stupidity this week. He says that old as shit, glass boned Tony Romo should start over rookie sensation Dak Prescott. This is so cowboys it hurts. Things finally look good. You have the best rookie duo since Dalton and Green, you are actually winning games and your qb doesnt turn the ball over. But hey why dont we crush the rookies confidence and bench him for a few weeks until Tony ends up in a wheelchair. Good call Jerry, alienate your qb of the next ten years by making him sit a year (max) while Tony gets eliminated in the first round (again). Just picture how awkward that conversation between Dak and Jerry is gonna be. "Look son, you have exceeded expectations here but Tony's my friend and I think he should play". You know what a decision like this does to a team, it makes them choose sides. This fractures the lockeroom and distracts people from the actual game. This is why the Cowboys wi...

Roberto Aguayo

Anyone who watched last nights game is probably still recovering from its brutality. Have you ever seen two teams who wanted to lose so badly before? I sure as shit haven't. If there was one guy who summed up this collective shittyness it was the fuckin kicker for the Bucs. I have never seen a kicker this bad keep his job. I mean its not like the team can cut him, they spent a second round pick on him (ridiculous I know). Just to see a guy who was so good in college be so bad in the league is insanity. Sur he made the game winning kick but lets remember they are not in this position if he doesnt miss two easy kicks before hand. This guy stinks, unless he starts rubbing a rabbits foot or seeing a hypnotist, I dont think thats going to change. Hes now 4-8 on the season. Kickers usually get cut if they are under 50 percent. Figure it out Roberto or you might be kicking in Canada. Not that the wind and snow will help you improve or anything

Was I wrong about Sam Bradford?

I might be, key word being might. Look the ting with Bradford is no one questions his ability. It always consistency and health with him. The lucky bastard stumbled into a great situation with a defence playing out of its mind, a receiving core that actually is showing promise and a monster of a tight end that actually might play 16 games. All this aside, hes throwing darts and the fact that they are 5-0 without AP is borderline insane. We've seen this movie before though. Bradford put together an awful first half and good second half for philly last year. Call me a hater but I am just waiting for that signature mistake or that timely injury that fucks everything up. Do whatever you have been doing Minnesota because I have never seen a 5-0 franchise with some many key injuries.

The falcons are scary but can you trust them

We have seen this before. The Falcons get off to a great start only to completely shit the bed. Something tells me this time might be for real. I know the defence has a significant lack of talent but they only need to be average. This offence is fucked. Tevin Coleman decided that he doesnt even want to play running back anymore (he just catches bombs now), Devonta Freeman is a human joy stick and Julio Jones is Julio Jones. To top it all off Matty Ice is back or has he arrived, you just dont know with this guy. Kyle Shanahan deserves a lot of credit here. His offensive gameplan against the best defence in football was genius. He matched his backs on Denver's linebackers and went to work. It also helps when your first round pick from last year actually decides to rush the passer. This could be the year for atlanta. By the year, I mean they reach the playoffs and lose in the divisional round. Thats a win if your a fan of this weird ass franchise.

OBJ vs. the kicking net

Look, everyone who actually reads this knows I love to hate OBJ. Hes the fuckin worst. However, one of my favorite qualities in someone is self awareness. When you are self aware of some crazy shit you did and then were crucified for, thats a step in the right direction. OBJ has been the biggest delusional baby that I have ever seen in the NFL and thats saying a lot. But, one of the funniest things I have seen all year is his TD celebration on Sunday Night football. The guy makes a ridiculous catch and then proceeds to kiss and makeup with the kicking net. If Beckham starts making fun of himself like this, I will have no choice but to respect him the tinniest bit. I mean the damage has been done with this drama obsessed ballerina but that celebration was a step in the right direction P.S. the clip is hear if you missed it http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/giants/odell-beckham-jr-hugs-kicking-net-scoring-td-giants-article-1.2824365

Paxton in

Oh to be a broncos fan. You lose one of the best qbs of all time, start some scrub who no one knows, he is somehow good and then he gets hurt. Oh no worries, we just have a first round rookie who came in and looked real good last week. Fuck man, to have that kind of qb luck on a team with amazing weapons and surreal defence isnt even fair. If Paxton lights it up we will see who gets the nod. If they are smart they will give lynch more time, the guys too raw and Siemian can win you games.

Cards roundup

Damn that was what we needed. Probably one of the sloppiest games I've seen in a long time. Gabbert vs stanton will do that to you. The good news is david johnson is the best running back in the league, yeah I said it. As old man fitz is playing out of his mind as usual. Did the niners hand us the game? Fuck yeah they did, but a win is a fuckin win and I am going to enjoy this. That was like a playoff game. The margin of error is razor thin but the return of Palmer and a little bit of momentum can be dangerous for a team that is capable of getting hot at anytime.

Bengals Dolphins preview

Well damn. The entire dolphins team is injured and the bengals are very due for win. Pretty cut and dry here. Dont tell me that though, on gut instinct I took the phins plus 7.5 and half, fuck me right? Seriously though, this game will be interesting. Both teams are in desperate need of win because they are fading fast. The Bengals should not be 1-2, this team is loaded from top to bottom and its about time they showed it. The phins are still adjusting to their new coach, though the effort and grit has improved under Gase, the oline and injuries will waste a valiant effort by the defence. Bengals 30 Dolphins 17

Josh Gordon

Apparently he is entering rehab. Dude just stop smoking weed, like holy fuck man. Better yet, get on the same page with the rest of the stoners in the NFL and figure out when drug testing is. Its not rocket science man. Every player poll claims that basically everyone in the NFL smokes. Only you and Leveon bell are dumb enough to get caught every goddamn time. Also, its not that addictive dude. Just maybe stop so you can make millions of dollars, mkay. Better yet replace the spliff with a couple beers after a nice workout. You had so many chances and ways to spin this and only one of them ended with you putting your career on hold once again. This dufus is capable of tearing the league apart and as a fan I wanted to see it. Too bad my man is a mental midget.

Dez Bryant

Anyone else find this whole situation just a little strange? Dez fucked up his knee against the Bears and then cam back and played. This week he was scheduled for MRI and didnt show up because he thought his injury was going to put his season in jeopardy (incurring a fine). Next, it was reported he had a hairline fracture in his knee. Ive been a football fan for a while and I have never heard of a hariline fracture in someone's knee. Then, the NFL's resident senile old man (Jerry Jones) went on the radio and said Dez was going to play. Finally, Schefty reported that Dez wasnt in fact going to play. What in the actual fuck is going on in Cowboy land? Cause it looks shady and smells fishy as shit. This might actually be a genius way of getting teams to gameplan for Bryant, not knowing if he is gonna play or not. Thus, keeping their opponent on edge. I would say Goddell should step in and get this injury report thing figured out. Some rule about deception on the injury report, we ...

Watt on the shelf

Devastating loss for the Texans. JJ Watt is out for a minimum 8 weeks, after re-injuring his back last week. He literally has no one to blame but himself on this one. Maybe, a little harsh but hear me out. He waited until late in the offseason to have the surgery and instead of waiting the prescribed few weeks he forced his way back onto the field. I'm no doctor but I don't think you should fuck around with a back injury. This sucks for Texans fans but the harsh reality is Mr. Watt made a number of mistakes in timing of surgery and disregard for doctors orders. Apparently, this is an injury that might effect his long term health as well. This is what you get for not listening to a doctor, I mean he only went to medical school. "Waits for karma to hit Tyrann Mathieu"", knock on fuckin wood cards fans. P.S. if you want a good laugh hop on twitter and look at his mentions under every tweet. Props to Pardon My Take for essentially chasing this try-hard off the twit...

Saints Falcons preview

This will be an interesting one. Like an idiot, I saw the match up and bet the over. Only to realize that the Saints have their entire team out due to injury. In all seriousness, this game still reeks of offence. The Saints d was historically bad last year and still has a bunch of holes. The Falcons cant even get close to the other teams qb and their secondary is average save Desmond Trufant. As long as the Falcons have Julio and the Saints have Drew, expect fireworks. The execution might not be pretty but there will be tds. Falcons 31 Saints 35

Reece cut

Marcel Reece was cut by the Raiders today. This guy can flat out ball. He's a fullback who can lineup at running back. Hes a good enough receiver to play tight end and a sick enough blocker to play the traditional fullback role. For the Raiders to let this guy go is insane. He literally can play three different positions. His addition to any team would be a coup. He literally does everything if you include his ability to play special teams. This guy will be a steal for anyone smart enough to pick his ass up. Cough Cards grab this guy cough cough.

Russell Wilson

*Tries to check Cardinal bias at the door.  One of the more under appreciated story lines of the entire season is the Seahawks inability to let Russell Wilson heal. A little background, the guy twisted his ankle real bad in the Miami opener. Flash forward to this week and the hit he took made it look like he snapped his fuckin ACL. Official diagnosis is a sprained MCL and sprained ankle. Now, a franchise with a young quarterback and multiple superbowl appearances, tend to error on the side of caution when it comes to shit like this. Not Pete Carroll, the dumbass already said Wilson is playing on Sunday. Thats insane to me. Wilson is heavly dependent on his legs and ability to create something out of nothing. Two leg injuries heavily decreases his ineffectiveness. To not even entertain the idea of sitting him for a week is beyond insane. This is eerly similar to what the Redskins did to RG3 in his first year. Sure it didnt all happen in the same game but the pressure of carrying t...

Oddell Beckham is still a fuckin loser

Cry me a river Oddell, seriously can you be any less mentally tough? Hes fighting a goal post and crying like a baby after a regular season loss. This guy is the epitome of millennials and their growing presence in the NFL. Emotional, self entitled midgets that deal with adversity like a three year old. You know he wanted to sock Josh Norman but couldn't because of intense repercussions. Instead he decided to fight and lose to a kicking net. The best part of this whole saga is the fact that his head coach called his ass out. Absolutely hilarious display from this peacock looking muthafucka. P.S. I know I've thrown intense shade at OBJ but the guy consistently makes the front page for being a babayback bitch....whats a blogger to do? P.P.S If you missed this epic showdown take a look https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhCPko_AFTQ

Cards round up

Fuck man. I;ve never seen a team try and lose as hard as we did yesterday, The run defence was absolutely putrid. Taylor's big run, shadys td, there wasn't even a goddamn defensive player on the screen. Palmer decided to do his best NFC championship impression and Floyd dropped a shitton of passes. And still we had a chance to win. Our rookie long snapper and punter made the executive decision that we were going to lose this fuckin game. The reason Im so fuckin frusterated is this is a talented team top to bottom. There is nothing more frustrating as fan then when your team continues to shoot themselves in the foot. The one thing I will say though is the division is a goddamn dumpster fire. Russell Wilson is basically playing on crutches, the 9ers are well....the 9ers and the rams are the same old rams (defensively dominate and offensively inept). Its gonna be ugly but I think a division win is still in the cards. We just need to stop making mistakes....easier said then done.

Josh Norman is a pussy

One of my favorite rivalries in sport might be going the way of the dinosaurs. The ever entertaining and borederline psycotic, Josh Norman cam out today and said he moved passed the Beckham beef. Get the fuck out of here with that. These two guys have a pure hatred for each other that makes for one of the more compelling watches in the NFL. My inclination is to believe that this is just lip service. However, Josh Norman is not a lip service kind of guy. He says exactly what hes thinking almost to a fault. The whole point of you going to Washington was to entertain the shit out of me by making Oddell pull temper tantrums. Give me what I want Josh. The NFL is soft as shit now all I want is a goddamn brawl between two guys who actually despise each other. Is that too much to ask? P.S. I really hope Dez and Oddell's little tickle fight love affair is not a sign of things to come. In case you missed this super masculine showing the link is below http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/20...

Corey Coleman breaks hand

I know you guys are just itching to get updates on my fantasy team. SO heres another beautiful nugget of good luck (notice the sarcasm). Mr. Corey Coleman, flex play to the stars shattered his fuckin hand in practice yesterday. Im not sure if I'm cursed or if the Browns are actually under some sort of voodoo magic where a witch is just stabbing the shit out of some doll with a Browns jersey but here we are. In all seriousness, it must suck to love a franchise that continues to defy physics, logic or any sort of reason in both futility and luck. Here I am complaining about my made up team when some of the best fans in the NFL are actually losing their fuckin minds (if they werent already). Hopefully this kid comes back soon because he looks like a fuckin stud. Lord knows Cleveland could use a stud not named Haden or Thomas.

Pats Texans preview

Instability at qb. In past years, you would think I was talking about the Texans. But no, its the pats with the stability issue. I mean if anyone can overcome this thing its the Pats (as much as it pains me to say it). However, I have to say, not signing a qb was a borderline retarded move. Like honestly guys? Julian Edleman is going to be your backup qb. Yeah, take your best offensive player (not named Brady) and put him in a position he hasnt played at the NFL level. Oh yeah and hes injury prone and their oline is shit. But hey its your funeral. I sure as hell hope Legarrette Blount (or however you spell that trip of a first name) came to play because hes gonna be busy tonight. On the Texans side it will be interesting to see how New England shuts down all of the weapons on offence. Sure they havent put together a full game of production yet but a team featuring Miller, Fuller, Hopkins and an emerging qb in Oswieler is no joke. If we are being truly honest this will most likely be a ...

Injuries everywhere

Maybe its because my fantasy team has been decimated but I've noticed a shit ton of key injuries. It being this early year, the shit kind of sucks doesn't it? Sometimes I wish the NFL had a no injury button you could turn on and off ala. Madden franchise mode. Here are some of the key injuries in the last week. A.P. : Things were murky for AP. Some said he could play through, others thought it would be a few weeks. Unfortunately for vikings fans, it looks like he is going to miss most (if not) the entire year. Shit, it just wasn't meant to be, I guess Doug Martin: This one hit me right in the fantasy gonads. One of my top picks, goes out and fucks up his hammy. Anyone who is familiar with a hamstring injury knows that it can spell doom for a back. That kind of thing lingers all season, which leads me to my next gripe..... John Stewart: Another fantasy pick, another goddamn hammy injury. What did I do to deserve this. Stewart is going to be out for a couple weeks with ...

The Redskins lockerroom

Is there a more dysfunctional locker room in sports? Like holy shit guys keep your criticisms private one time for me. In case you didnt here some redskins players are fed up with Kirk COusins and want to see Colt McCoy play. I know, hilarious right? My question is not so much them second guessing their qb but how this shit gets out. The same thing happened with RG3. Every game their was some unnamed player bashing him. Sure he was trash but teams handle stuff like that internally. In times like this you have to question the leadership. Jay Gruden clearly has no control over his lockerroom if every little controversy goes public. At some point you gotta to take charge Jay. You ran Griffin out of town and put your own guy in there. Now your letting the lockeroom split down the middle. The best is Gruden telling the media every little flaw that needs to be cleaned up. Hes like a millenial on twitter...just cant help himself.

Wentz man

Kid looks poised out there. I dont understand how he can be so fundamentally sound that quick. The kid from North Dakota is coming along a lot faster then anyone thought. The truth is he is just a perfect fit for Pederson's Offence. A guy that has the same skill set as Alex Smith is a perfect transition for someone who was basically raised in the same offence under Andy Reid. Its the perfect qb/ coach marriage. Still cant believe he hasnt thrown a pick yet. On what planet does a rookie D1-AA qb go 2-0 and not throw a single pick. Sure its the Bears and Browns but you gotta start somewhere. My rookie of the year pick, so far. The ginger rains supreme...for now.

Peterson done for a while

Man being a vikings fan doesn't get any easier. Coming into the season, this was a legit superbowl contender. Young talent everywhere, the best back in the league and a qb on the rise. Unfortunately, two of those three things are now in doubt. AP is a freak of nature so he might not be shelved as long as one might think. However, a meniscus tear to a running back over thirty could mean a long stay on the injury report. The weird thing is the defence is good enough to potentially keep them in the hunt. Theres always next year vikings fans. Not something you want to hear after week 2.

Stefon Diggs is a bad man

Everyones all Bradford this, Bradford that. Sure he played well enough but Stefon Diggs is the real story here. He looks absolutely sick. His combination of route running, hands and speed makes him a bonafide number one. The fact that he was able to beat a pretty good Packers secondary to the tune of almost 200 yards says a lot about his trajectory. With the Adrian Peterson injury and Bradford's supreme lack of consistency, Diggs needs to continue to murder it for the team to have any sort of chance. Call me crazy but I think hes up to the task.

No Brady, No Garrappolo, no problem?

The good news for the Pats: Jimmy G looks sick and can absolutely be a starter down the line. The bad news: His shoulder is absolutely fucked. Weird game in New England yesterday. The pats came out like world beaters and then Jimmy hit the deck. The phins almost completed a stunning comeback but came up just a little short. A running theme for the phins. Brissett to his credit looked serviceable enough to get the Pats through the next couple games. Thats all they need from him, just dont fuck it up. It will be interesting to see if they bring in a veteran qb to compete with Jacoby. If theres one thing I do know, never a dull moment in New England.

Cardinals roundup

Man we needed that one. That Pats loss had me just a little worried. This is supposed to be a superbowl contending team and last week did not show that. However, the systematic dismantling of a pretty good Tampa team was fuckin excellent. Everything that seemed to be an issue last week became a strength this week. Thats what good coaches do, they adjust. The pass defence opposite PP was excellent. Marcus Cooper, the forgotten man in KC played huge (2 picks and a td). The defensive line held up and the pass rush was actually getting to Jameis. On offence, they finally looked like last years team again. Palmer bombing it and Dave Johnson making a million guys miss. I can feel myself bragging a bit so I'll stop but goddamn it feels good to be back in the win column.

Giants throw shade on Norman

Oh man I love this fuckin rivalry. So much blog worthy material. Everybody knows the Norman-Beckham beef. Whats surprising is his lack of involvement in this particular circumstance. Victor Cruz decided to call Norman out for not following Brown all over the feild. A couple things here. He has a good point. You cant call yourself the best corner in the league if you are assigned to a certain side, scheme or not (that goes for you too Sherman). The best corners face the best recievers on the other team, plain and simple. Sure its out of his control but these are the facts. The peculiar thing about this is Cruz himself. Guy just played his first game in like two years. Just relax and focus on staying healthy, you are not exactly in position to chirp this guy. At least not yet. Either way, a fired up Norman makes for compelling TV. I just hopes he goes for the juglar when he covers Beckham. Make him his own worst enemy. It genius and I dont understand how thats not every teams first insti...

Jets and Bills preview

An afc east showdown tonight. By showdown, I mean a couple of bumbling offences will try to penetrate two excellent defences. This is the type of game that I wouldnt go near given the option but hey its thrusday and its better then no football. In all seriousness, this will be a great defensive tilt with two teams that no each other all too well. The jets dline and the bills secondary will be two units to pay attention to. Both are among the best in the league. The key matchup has to be the bills corners vs the jets receivers. This matchup will be a dog fight all night long. Look for a couple big plays from Decker and Marshall and a turnover or two for Darby and Gilmore. The key for the bills is to actually throw the ball more then five yards. Their strategy last week was perplexing. Hand the ball to shady, throw the ball to shady and ignore clay and Watkins. What adds to the confusion is Tyrod Taylors beautiful deep bal, let the guy sling it. For the Jets it will be Matt Forte. if For...

Rookies Rookies Rookies

One of my favorite traditions is the ridiculous pressure and hype that comes with being a rookie qb. By far the best example has to be Dak Prescott. Guy has a few good preaseaon games and cowboys fans think he is the next aikman. I will say he did look very good in their game against the Giants. Steady, yet unspectacular; not usually synonymis with a rookie qb but the kid deserves credit. However, he is in a classic no-win situation. The Dak hype train will only build. When he inevitably has his rookie game (or multiple games), the same fans that are sucking him off will want him benched. Welcome to the league rook. Our next case study is the latest mild mannered ginger to enter the spot light, Mr. Carson Wentz. Wentz found himself in a starting position on the eve of the regular season and put together a nice little performance. His hype is on overdrive right now. Lets not forget he played the Browns, yes the Browns. Also, his supporting cast is nothing to write home about (minus the ...

Monday night recap

Those fuckin games sucked guys. I was all in on the Redskins Steelers. To be fair it was competitive for a bit and then Deanglo Williams and antonio brown did the damn thing, as per usual. Captain Kirk the checkdown master still hasnt beaten a team with a winning record. Oh and the run game stinks. Norman should have maybe followed Brown. Again Im not a coach but didnt that seem obvious? Is there anything really to say about the night game? Im just glad I went to bed early. The Rams should be seriously concerned about their offence. Sure the defence wasnt great but they were on the field the entire time..soo. Case Keenum stinks, the offensive line stinks, Tavon looked meh. The one bright spot was Kenny Britt, who I didnt even know was still alive. Chip Kelly can coach man. Hes a psychopath and a lot of players hate him but the man can coach, I will say that. Also that dline isn't to bad. Good thing the drunk guy ran onto the field or their might have been a mutiny

Russell Wilson

Man that game was a snooze fest. Miami and Seattle had a contest to see who could score the fewest points (spoiler Miami won). In the process Wilson fucked up his ankle. You could see it effecting him after Suh stomped his ass. This is huge as Wison's game is predicated on movement and you kind of need an ankle for that. News out of Seattle is things arent looking good and his status for week 2 is up in the air. This is a hell of a problem for the Hawks as their backup is an undrafted free agent. The hawks really didnt think about a backup plan at all. Kind of a strange move from a team with a mobile qb. I feel like all of them (save Carolina) should have a battle tested backup when they inevitably get pommeled (see Griffin, Robert).

RG3

This man will never learn. If you havent heard hes injured again. The source of this injury: stupidity. He was scarmbling (big surprise) and on his way out of bounds he tries to truck a safety for no reason. Now his non-throwing shoulder is fucked. Just slide bro, get out of bounds. Your a fuckin twig, use your speed and get down. I guess that means Terrell Pryor will have to get the rest of his 1800 yards from someone else. Right Charles Woodson? http://factoryofsadness.co/2016/09/11/espns-charles-woodson-predicts-terrelle-pryor-will-catch-1800-yards/

Cardinals roundup

That was tough man. I'm usually not a shit talker but I was all in on this game. I figured no Brady, no Gronk would spell victory. Not an easy victory but victory nontheless. The offence looked disjointed for much of the game but was able to finish strong. The defence still appears to have the same issues as last year, limited pass rush and no one on the other side of PP. However, The passrush doesnt really bother me as Chandler Jones and Markus Golden will continue to get better. What does bother me is missed tackles and Brandon Williams getting burnt to a crisp. This guy cannot be anything more then a nickel until he learns the NFL game. I never thought I'd say this but we need Justin Bethel back in the worst way. Despite all of these issues, there was a clear chance to win, insert rookie long snapper. People would like to blame Arians for using his timeouts ridiculously early but the fact of the matter is, we had a chance to win and didnt take advantage. Back to the drawing ...

Cam Newton's brains

Helluva a game yesterday, exciting back and forth....what more can you ask for. The first game of the season inevitably brings on a bunch of over blown stories because footballs finally back. My favorite of the stories is Cam Newtons head. Theres no doubt that the guy took a beating last night. Thats what happens when you face the Broncos. However, this nonsense outrage on whether he was tested for a concussion is trash. If you get sneezed on the NFL will test you for consussion. Theres also this weird thing, not sure if you guys have heard of it but you get hit in the head and somhow dont get concussion. I know crazy right? Furthermore, this whole "Cam doesnt get any penalties arguement" is B.S. The guy is fuckin impossible to tackle, so yeah he needs to be smashed by four guys in order to go down. This is not Brady we are talking about here, this guy wont just go down if he sees a defnder. Also, look at the tape. He goes head first into the 300 hundred pounders, he invties ...

Carolina-Denver preview

This Superbowl rematch just doesnt have me that excited. That what happens when one team trots out fuckin Trevor SIemian against the Panthers smothering defence. Dont get me wrong, this game will be closer then it should be because Denvers defence is fuckin outstanding. Its gonna be one of those games....lots of 2-3 yard runs, a shit ton of sacks and multiple closeups of kickers and punters. If your a big old school football guy then this is right up your alley. Im stoked that football is back but this matchup is definitely not my cup of tea. Key Matchup: Mike Riemers (or how ever the fuck you spell his name) and Von Miller Reimers still has nightmares from the superbowl. Von Miller literally made him look like a turnstile. Now expecting him to stop Von is ridiculous but containing him will be key. The Panthers need to employ misdirections, screens and draws so that their right tackle doesnt get murdered. Advantage: Miller. Though I am confident that Mike Shula will adjust in this ...

The media is trying to murder Carson Palmer

Another day, another interview for carson palmer. Like any qb on a team with superbowl aspirations he answers shittons of questions from the media. But yesterday was different. With a matchup against the Pats looming, the topic that everyone hates comes up (deflategate). Palmer gave a standard nondescript answer. He said he didnt know the specifics of deflategate but if Brady broke the rules he deserves to be punished. Simple enough right? Nope. The media did what they do best and weaved his answer into some sort of assualt on Brady. Now everyone's bitching at Carson for essentially avoiding a question that he clearly didnt want to answer. What really gets me is that no one seems to be able to see through this bullshit. Am I taking crazy pills or is the least news worthy thing to go viral in recent memory? Well probably not but the point remains. The thing that fucks with me is that ol'cut sleeves Belicheck is gonna turn this into bulletin board material. If the past is any ind...

Josh Sitton

This is a big coup by the Bears. Im not too sure why the Packers cut this guy in the first place. From what I can pick up, Sitton is one of the NFL's most dominant guards. The Packers are known for keeping their own players, especially if they are sick. This makes me question what the deal actually is with Sitton. Im inclined to think it was cash related. The Bears play this guy twice a year and if he was declining I dont think they would have given him a 3 year 22 million dollar deal. If hes the same old Josh then the Bears just got significantly better in a place that has forever been a weakness. Cutler must be stoked.

Al-Jeezera reports

Is there anyone out there who still thinks Al-Jeezera is real? Lets not forget that Peyton Manning ran this place out of the states over the false claims made about him. Lets also not forget that this pathetic excuse for a news outlet also claimed a few players were using steroids. Now, if you guys know the NFL like I do, chances are you understand that they are not big fans of facts (as I have written in previous blogs). Usually an accusation will at least get a player suspended for a game, thats just how Roger roles. The fact that James Harrison, Julius Peppers and Clay Mathews were all interviewed and the NFL decided to drop the case. When is the last time the NFL dropped anything? This just proves that this pathetic news outlet is not be followed or trusted. Maybe is a "The Onion" situation and they are trolling all of us. If thats the case, I take back everything I just said.

Bradford deal

How Sam Bradford has convinced multiple teams that he is a good starting qb is beyond me. The vikings gave up a first round pick to get this guy....let that sink in. Teams dont just part with picks like these. They especially dont hand them over for one year stop-gap options with limited upside. Best case scenario for the viking is a playoff birth, followed by a quick exit (because Bradford is junk). It baffles me that the vikings are giving up a potential franchise staple (that pick) for a gimpy-kneed overrated qb that they didnt even want. You have a young team Minnesota, just be patient.

Teddy down!

Brutal for vikings fans. All reports out of camp were Teddy was making large strides. This is a team that was ready for a deep playoff run and now theyll be lucky to sniff the wildcard. The manner of his injury should make team officials and fans very concerned about his prospects for the beginning of next year. A torn ACL and dislocated knee cap is no joking matter, it will be interesting to follow his recovery.

Joey Bosa

Eh, the entitled bitch finally signed. This whole saga was ridiculous. Bosa whining about a fully guarenteed contract when he hadnt done shit was laughable. The CHargers trying to defer bonus money was weird. Both sides were straight assholes but I have to side with the team here. Bosa came into a league with a rookie scale, meaning there is only a little bit of room for negotiation in terms of dollars and cents. Instead of realizing he is getting money upfront for doing nothing in the league, he whined about it. He held out for too long and now hes behind the eightball in terms of assimilating, not what you want out of your top pick. They finally agreed on a contract that gives the big baby his large rookie signing bonus (17 million) and allows for the chargers to defer a small chunk of said bonus until next year. Both sides got to stroke their egos and everyone won....I think

Trevor fuckin Siemian

What a story out of Denver. You have a first round pick, a guy with success pre "buttfumble" and a second year man who hasnt thrown an NFL pass. Guess who wins.....your wrong, its the fuckin guy with no experience. This is not some ragtag team either. Were talking about the superbowl champs here. Never in the history of the league has a superbowl team returned a new starter with no NFL experience, ever. Part of me is confused as all hell but the other part of me wonders. Gary Kubiak knows qbs, thats what he does. He made Matt Schaub look sick, Flacco had a career year and Brock Osweiler looked like a world-beater. This guy clearly knows something we dont. If your Siemian sure the pressure is there but really your job is straight forward....dont fuck up. You have one of the best defences in recent memory, a punishing ground game and two all star caliber receivers. If there was ever a wet dream scenario for a qb it would be this.

Colin sackorpick

This is one hell of an issue. Lets focus on the football side of things for a minute, shall we? Colin sackorpick decided not to stand for the national anthem during a preseason game. I think he forgets who he is. This isn't superbowl Kaep, this is losing the starting job to Blaine Gabbert, Kaep. This version of sackorpick is expendable. All he did was give the niners a reason to jettison him out of town. Unless he shows he can still play the baggage might out weigh the product on the field. In which case his days in the NFL maybe numbered. Now onto the social side. Look I know Im a dumbass football blogger so dont take my word as gospel (not that any of you did to begin with). I know racial tensions are high in the states and I know many black people feel that they are marginalized. I will say, in general, the responses to this injustice has been incredibly counterproductive. Looting, rioting and the killing of police officers is not the best way to get cops to stop being quick wit...

Arians rushed to hospital

Probably the closest I've come to a heartattack this side of the 08 superbowl. Bruce Arians was rushed to hospital with stomach pains and I braced for the worst. Luckily he was released shortly thereafter with what, I can only guess is a case of severe fat guy gas. Does us Cards fans a favor Bruce and drink some pepto bismal before you decide to scare the shit out of long suffering, fragile Cards fans like myself. In all seriousness, I'm just glad my football messiah has risen from the hospital to coach another season for the red and white.

4 picks in one half

I dont think anoyone thought this was at all possible. Landry Jones (Pitts backup qb) managed to sling 4 picks in one half. The crazy thing about this situation is the fact that Jones is a seemingly capable backup qb who has had his moments when given a chance. This is not some scrub but a legit backup in this league. Sure you can point to the fact that it is preseason but fuck if I have anything ele to write about. 4 interceptions, you really have to just throw into double coverage every play. Maybe this was all part of Jones's plan. Play well enough to be backup but just shitty enough to convince teams that you arent the answer. If thats the case I commend Mr. Jones. Backup qb is one of the best jobs in sports and Landry has mastered the art of mediocrity.

Dareus suspended

The league is fucked. Can we all just agree on that. Without sounding like a redundent hippy, I have to say that this weed shit is getting ridiculous. We have another supreme talent suspended for smoking a little ganja. This problem is becoming so repetitive and ridiculous that the word around the NFL is many owners want to eliminate drug testing for Marijuana all together. Its not a performance enhancing drug and it benefits long term player health when substituted for opioids that are used to mitigate inevitable pain. The Bills will suffer without Dareus and the fact that the league is willing to continuously suspend players for this issue is beyond ridiculous. Figure it out NFL, Im tired of losing star players for getting the munchies.

Al-Jeezera report

News broke today that NFL players named in the Al-Jeezera report of PED use were to submit to interviews or be suspended. The players named are Mike Neal, Clay Mathews, Julius Peppers and James Harrison. Now I am torn on this issue. On the one side Al-Jeezera made some interesting claims against Peyton Manning that were so outlandish (or justified) that the site literally shut down its American office. Explain to me how a website tht cant even keep its doors open can level claims that threaten to alter the careers of some of the NFL's best. Whats not surprising is the NFL's threats against those named in said report. We all know the NFL loves witchhunts. Roger Goddell is not a big fact guy. From Bountygate to deflategate, the commissioners hardline stances on seemingly random claims with limited backing has long been his forte. Now, whats almost more curious then the NFL's decision to push the envelope is the fact that these players wont simply submit to these interviews. N...

Tyrann Mathieu

Steve Keim does it again. Anyone who doesn't think this guy isn't in the top 2 or 3 gms in the league is a fuckin idiot. Getting a potential 80 to 90 million dollar talent to sign for 62 million over 5 years is nothing short of genius. I know Mathieu has an injury problem and is obsessed with being a Cardinal but this contract is still genius. Sure 40 million guarenteed was a pick selling point but this feels like a steal for the Cards.

Deandre Hopkins

This shit is ridiculous. Deandre Hopkins had a brief holdout in search of a new contract. Despite not receiving a deal or even a negotiation, Hopkins reported to camp. Dudes a bonafide number one receiver who has excelled despite all of the putrid qbs that have come through Houston recently. Not only is he a star but his short holdout just proves that he is a team guy first. Guy is the total package but Houston doesnt seem to understand that. They maintain that re-negotiations can only occur when the player is in the last year of his contract. In theory this is a great philosophy that helps mitigate distractions off-the-field. However, the team recently broke this rule with J.J. Watt. Look I know that Watt is a once in a generation type player but once you make exceptions, people take notice. If the Texans were smart they would break this rule for their offensive cornerstone. Hopkins means nearly as much to the offence as Watt does to the defence. Receivers that excel regardless of the...

Von Millers contract

Von Miller man, what can you say. He played his negotiation perfectly and milked denver for everything he could get. The guy is totally worth the money (6 years 114 million and 70 million guarenteed) in the sense that if Denver didnt do it then someone else would have. The money in the NFL is exploding right now but 70 million guarenteed is fuckin insanity. Good for Denver though, they needed a win after a tough offseason that saw them lose key pieces from thier superbowl team. Now lets see if Von will play motivated after signing a life altering deal.

Manziel suspended

another no brainer here. Surprised this guy wasn't suspended for the rest of his life. Its a curious predicament if you think about it. There have been a number of guys suspended for so much less and for a much longer period of time. The amount of negative headlines this guy has had is astounding. I would have thought Goddell would have him murdered just to save the "integrity of the game". The 4 game suspension has gotta be for the blow right. Not enough people are acknowledging that this guy is a full on coke head, alcoholic. Something about Manziel mania, I dont know.

Dumb Dumb gets suspended again

In maybe the least surprising move of the offseason Rolondo Mclain was suspended again. If there was ever a sure fire gambling opportunity it would be McLain's fuckery. The guy was a bust, then he assaulted some dude, retired and then came back to dominate. If there was ever a current player with raging CTE it would be Rolondo. Guys about as stable as a moody teenage girl. Cowboys haters rejoice. P.S. for any of you unfirmiliar with the story the suspension stems from the nfl's drug policy which could be anything from roids to blow

Eugene Monroe cut

I have a theory here. It is a "hot take" of sorts. Monroe has always been an upper echelon tackle worthy of a starting job. That is, until he came out in support of medical Marijuana. John Harbaugh being the conservative football guy he is probably had a heart attack. WHat followed was a systematic dismantling of Monoroe's standing on the team. They selected ROnnie Stanley and would rather keep a turnstile at right tackle then deal with Monoroe's "bullshit". Cant put all the blame on the Ravens here. There is definitely a random drug test in Monoroe's near future.

Reshad Jones shows up

Well that was quick. I didnt think that this guy would ever sit out any sort of meaningful games. The whole "will sit out the season" mantra is one that is not followed with much action. In fact other then Chancellor last year, I cannot think of another guy who sat out regular season games because of a contract dispute. Now this is not to say that Jones is not a man of his word. Tactics like this are often used in negotiations to force the hand of your advisory. Fortunately, Jones decided to show up today. Hes a gamer who is being paid exactly what hes worth. Nonetheless this is something to be monitored in the next year or so.

Broncos resign Marshall

They did it, Denver finally resigned one of their players. In one of the most tumultuous apres-superbowl off seasons in recent memory. The Broncos watched key pieces (including their qb of the future) walk. Whats worse is they haven't resigned Von Miller yet. This signing is a move in a move in the right direction. Brandon Marshall is one of the most underrated pieces of the vaunted Denver defence. He holds down the middle of the defence with savvy coverage and run support. His leadership is another quality which made his resigning a virtual no-brainer

Mcfadden injured

In the least surprising news of today...or any day, DMC is hurt again. The craziest part of this is the fact that it didn't happen on the football field. Details are sketchy but apparently he hurt himself in a "home accident", whatever that means. Unfortunate break for a guy who was just proving that he could stay healthy the last two years. This injury could spell doom for his playing time even after he returns in a few months. Elliott is going to be a stud and Alfred Morris is no slouch. That leaves McFadden as the de facto man out.

Cox mega deal

Fletcher Cox received a deservedly ridiculous contract. The deal is worth up to a 114 million with a non-qb record of 63 million guarenteed. Cox is a certified game changer who is stout aginast the run and very productive rushing the passer. There is a premium on 3-4 ends who can produce 9-10 sacks. These guys dont come around very often and it was wise of philly to realize they have a stud on their hands.

Joey Bosa

Bosa has decided to holdout. Which literally makes zero sense. The rookie pay scale is pretty cut and dry. There is only a few million in leeway one way or another. This has prevented numerous rookies from holding out and missing valuable time to start their career. Bosa needs to take what he is offered. He has no leverage and a holdout can be extremely damaging to a rookie. Sort your shit out and sign the dotted line Joey.

Reshad Jones holdout

This is brutal. Jones is one of the highest paid safeties in the league. He recently signed a big contract that paid him 7 million a year. However, he recently had one of the best seasons of any safety. As a result, he wants more money. He made his displeasure known and will reportedly sit out the season if something is not done. The phins are in a rough spot. I think they need to do something similar to what Seattle did for Marshawn Lynch. Restructure his deal so as to reward him with more guarenteed money. If this doesnt work, they might have to implore the same strategy that the Hawks did last year. With Cam Chancellor holding out, they refused to budge. Chancellor eventually returned after a couple of regular season games and hasnt made a peep since. Jones is already being paid what he deserves and the phins cannot afford to pay him anymore. Hardball is the only option here...unfortunately for both parties

Taylor Decker

The Lions needed a bookend tackle in the worst way possible. The combination of Decker and Reif should help stafford stay upright and hopefully open some running lanes for their shitty ground attack. Detriot is in an interesting spot right now. They have spent a high pick on an offensive lineman in three of the last five drafts. If protection and run blocking doesnt improve, this team could be in serious trouble.

Corey Coleman

Perfect pickup for an offence lacking explosion. This guy is a dynamic Tavon Austin clone, that is very raw but talented. Look for Jackson to manufacture touches for this kid while he learns the route tree. Coleman should be an instant impact player on special teams and gadget plays. If he can develop the rest of his game, watch out.

Karl Joesph

This kid can ball. Safety has been a truly shitty position in terms of guys going in the high first round. Didnt know much about this guy coming out but everything I heard is that he is the complete package. Comparisons range from Bob Sanders to Earl Thomas. This is the perfect pick for a Raiders secondary that was a huge team weakness last year. Combine this pickup with the Sean Smith signing and this team is back on track.

Laremy Tunsil

Mark it down, steal of the draft and its not close. Captain gas mask should be an excellent coup for a putrid phins oline that desperately needs to protect Tannehill. That video was the best thing to ever happen the the dolphins. This guy was easily the best prospect in the draft. The dolphins need to send this guys stepdad a fruit basket or some shit. Screwing over his stepson just made Ryan Tannehill one happy muthafucker.
