As gross of a win as youll ever seen. Multiple chances to bury them but turnovers on offence and a lack of contain on defence kept them in it. The old adage "a wins win" is what I have been repeating to myself for the last 48 hours in a desperate attempt to convince myself this team isnt painfully average. Unfortunately, they are. This can change but until I see something better then a 23-20 win over a pile of trash that is what they will continue to be. Now there are some positives here. Micheal Floyd woke the fuck up. Floyd is like Robert Horry, just coasts through the first half the season cashing his checks and not giving a fuck. Right when people start to say hes shit he goes out and totally redeems himself the second half of the season. Its just one game against a dumpster fire but 100 yards is 100 yards. Fitz was a fuckin animal (12 for 133) and Palmer for all of his shit turnovers showed up when it mattered. On defence Chandler Jones continues to prove that he deserves big money (2 sacks) and Pat P was niether seen nor heard (exactly what you want out of a shut downcorner). The negatives were very concerning however. The line got no push for DJ despite his 2 td performance, Marcus Cooper sucked a pile of dicks and our contain on sideshow bob was atrocious. I did see life in this team and I am very confident that we can take down a struggling vikings team next week.

Teddy Bridgewater: The Panthers decided to turn the page on Cam Newton after another injury- plagued season. The bizarrely haired, hieroglyphic writing QB was due for a change of scenery. The man, the myth, the legend. A fixture of professional sports for the last 20 years. Tom Brady seemed destine to ride off into the sunset on a half functional body and a relatively intact brain, donning a Patriots jersey. It seems that the ancient quarterback and his morally inept team had something else in mind. Brady met with Belicheck and thats that, no progress, no give and take. It seemed like a rather Belicheckian end to a 20 year long domination tour. The coach, of course, is known as an analytical decision maker who rather cut a player too early than too late. Anyone who watched Brady last year saw a noticeable drop in all statistical categories. When you arer 42 years old it is not unreasonable to see a steady decline in production. The XFL rule that the NFL must adopt

The XFL has burst onto the scene. By burst I mean the league has yet to fold. In all seriousness, as a football fan I am just happy there is semi-coherent football being played. Sure quarterback play isn't up to snuff (with the exception of a couple guys) but the XFL is doing something very cool. Other leagues have failed because they try and emulate or compete with the NFL. The XFL had basically filled a need (spring football) and provided enough wild concepts to keep your average fan somewhat interested. Honestly thats all football loving degenerates like myself need. The NFL would be wise to check their immense egos and improve their game through a key rule change.  The adoption of the XFL's revolutionary kickoff structure is a must for the league.
