Browns-Ravens recap

Gross game all around. I mean I dont know what I expected but the optimist in me wanted to see a good back and forth. Thats what I get for trusting the Browns. The underatted story here is the fact that the Ravens just arent very good. Flacco is flacco, the same guy hes been his entire career. Inconsitencies, with just enough of a hot streak to keep them in the playoff conversation. The problem for them is they lack a good back. This offence is at its best when they can run the ball effectively and then Flacco can toss bombs down the field. They dont have that right now as Terrence West is so bad the browns cut his ass. Their defence is not bad but for them to do anything they need a running game. Cleveland looks like a team headed in the right direction....talent wise. Bare with me here. Coleman and Pryor will be an excellent Reciver duo for the near future, Kessler is actuallya lot better then I thought and the Crowell, Johnson combo is relatively competent. Their oline and defence are trash (save a few bright spote), this is year one under Hue Jackson and if they are wise they will let him do his thing. Now on to the game. Jackson made a dumbass call benching Kessler for Mccown. Kessler was playing well enough to keep them in the game and once Mccown game in, everything went to shit. Baltimore letting them hang around is not a good look for as talented as they are. Overall, order was restored and the Ravens won handily. Browns fans have to wonder what might of been had kessler remained under centre. Spoiler, they would have lost just by less.

The man, the myth, the legend. A fixture of professional sports for the last 20 years. Tom Brady seemed destine to ride off into the sunset on a half functional body and a relatively intact brain, donning a Patriots jersey. It seems that the ancient quarterback and his morally inept team had something else in mind. Brady met with Belicheck and thats that, no progress, no give and take. It seemed like a rather Belicheckian end to a 20 year long domination tour. The coach, of course, is known as an analytical decision maker who rather cut a player too early than too late. Anyone who watched Brady last year saw a noticeable drop in all statistical categories. When you arer 42 years old it is not unreasonable to see a steady decline in production. The XFL rule that the NFL must adopt

The XFL has burst onto the scene. By burst I mean the league has yet to fold. In all seriousness, as a football fan I am just happy there is semi-coherent football being played. Sure quarterback play isn't up to snuff (with the exception of a couple guys) but the XFL is doing something very cool. Other leagues have failed because they try and emulate or compete with the NFL. The XFL had basically filled a need (spring football) and provided enough wild concepts to keep your average fan somewhat interested. Honestly thats all football loving degenerates like myself need. The NFL would be wise to check their immense egos and improve their game through a key rule change.  The adoption of the XFL's revolutionary kickoff structure is a must for the league.
