Carolina is dead

Sucks for them. I mean I dont really know what they expected when they had the offseason they had. They drafted players at positions of strength (dtackle), let their star cornerback walk and refused to address the human turnstile that is Mike Remmers. When you trot out a practice sqaud db to cover Brandin Cooks, your gonna have a bad time. When you start a million rookies in the secondary, your gonna have a bad time. People are surprised about this and I cant figure out why. Sure I thought they would still make the playoffs because Cam is well Cam but everyone thought they were a lock for the NFC championship game (which is insane). Now they sit at 1-5 and their season is essentially done. I just hope they take the L on this one instead of doing something drastic like firing Gettleman or Rivera. You win some seasons you lose some seasons. Expectations are bitch arent they?

Tom Brady seemed destine to ride off into the sunset on a half functional body and a relatively intact brain, donning a Patriots jersey. It seems that the ancient quarterback and his morally inept team had something else in mind. Brady met with Belicheck and thats that, no progress, no give and take. It seemed like a rather Belicheckian end to a 20 year long domination tour. The coach, of course, is known as an analytical decision maker who rather cut a player too early than too late. The XFL rule that the NFL must adopt

The XFL has burst onto the scene. By burst I mean the league has yet to fold. In all seriousness, as a football fan I am just happy there is semi-coherent football being played. Sure quarterback play isn't up to snuff (with the exception of a couple guys) but the XFL is doing something very cool. Other leagues have failed because they try and emulate or compete with the NFL. The XFL had basically filled a need (spring football) and provided enough wild concepts to keep your average fan somewhat interested. Honestly thats all football loving degenerates like myself need. The NFL would be wise to check their immense egos and improve their game through a key rule change.  The adoption of the XFL's revolutionary kickoff structure is a must for the league.
