I just want to thank the Patriots for giving us a gift. Is it Christmas in Arizona cause it sure as hell feels like it. For those of you who havent heard the Cardinals traded Johnathon "bust" Cooper and a second round pick to the Pats for Chandler Jones. For those of you who arent familiar with Jones he only had 12.5 sacks last year. Who needs free agency when you can pedal a shitty ass guard and a low second rounder into a pro bowl pass rusher. I do love me some Steve Keim. Our biggest weakness is now fixed. My favorite part of this trade is Pats fans pretending like Jabaal Sheard is the better player. Get the fuck out of here with that. You couldnt pay all of your defenders so you traded one, plain and simple. Also anyone who thinks Cooper is going to somehow turn around that offensive line has a screw loose, the guy couldnt beat out ted fuckin Larsen. The Cardinals trade raped the pats, plain and simple

Teddy Bridgewater: The Panthers decided to turn the page on Cam Newton after another injury- plagued season. The bizarrely haired, hieroglyphic writing QB was due for a change of scenery. Bridgewater, on the other hand, flashed serious skill while Drew Brees was on the shelf. He is still only 27 and could be a very good quarterback for Matt Rhule and co. The man, the myth, the legend. A fixture of professional sports for the last 20 years. Tom Brady seemed destine to ride off into the sunset on a half functional body and a relatively intact brain, donning a Patriots jersey. It seems that the ancient quarterback and his morally inept team had something else in mind. Brady met with Belicheck and thats that, no progress, no give and take. It seemed like a rather Belicheckian end to a 20 year long domination tour. The coach, of course, is known as an analytical decision maker who rather cut a player too early than too late. Anyone who watched Brady last year saw a noticeable drop in all statistical categories. When you arer 42 years old it is not unreasonable to see a steady decline in production. The XFL rule that the NFL must adopt

The XFL has burst onto the scene. By burst I mean the league has yet to fold. In all seriousness, as a football fan I am just happy there is semi-coherent football being played. Sure quarterback play isn't up to snuff (with the exception of a couple guys) but the XFL is doing something very cool. Other leagues have failed because they try and emulate or compete with the NFL. The XFL had basically filled a need (spring football) and provided enough wild concepts to keep your average fan somewhat interested. Honestly thats all football loving degenerates like myself need. The NFL would be wise to check their immense egos and improve their game through a key rule change.  The adoption of the XFL's revolutionary kickoff structure is a must for the league.
