Another veteran bites the dust

Charles Johnson, another team stalwart has been cut. Its the time of year where tough decisions are constantly made and familiar faces are shown the door. There is no doubt that Johnson can still ball and his slump in statistics says more about Kony Ealy's impact and less about Johnson as a player. Similar to Smith he will not be on the market long as proven pass rushers are always welcomed on almost every team.

We have another supreme talent suspended for smoking a little ganja. Smith out

Daryl Smith of the Ravens was cut today after acumulating 122 tackles last year. Despite his age (33), Smith can still play at a high level. The reason for his release has more to do with the Ravens cap situation then anything. Also the rise of future star CJ Mosely, made him somewhat expendable. However, this is a guy who wont be unemployed for long. MLB is always a position of need for many teams. In fact, a certain desert team has the need and history of taking on proven veterans. Go get him Keim!
