NFL concussion

This headline alone should bring in some views. I mean we are talking about concussion research from 1996-2001 here. Why is this news? I have said from the start anyone who was surprised that football causes concussions and brain damage is thick. Anyone who thinks the NFL would corporate with a study that makes them look bad is also thick. However, the outrage from this is baffling. This is a violent game that players get paid more then enough to play. I am so tired of the player safety, societal outrage movement. However, this needs to be looked at from both sides. The NFL denying the whole concussion, CTE thing is ridiculous. Your sport is popular and violent, get over it. If you just come out and owned the fact that football is not a game for the faint of heart then everyone gets off your back. Just look at MMA, they apologize to no one and they are popular for it. Play football or dont but get out of here with this whole concussion cover up thing. The NFL is run by dicks this is true. Society gets charged up about bullshit, this is also true.

The man, the myth, the legend. A fixture of professional sports for the last 20 years. Tom Brady seemed destine to ride off into the sunset on a half functional body and a relatively intact brain, donning a Patriots jersey. It seems that the ancient quarterback and his morally inept team had something else in mind. Brady met with Belicheck and thats that, no progress, no give and take. It seemed like a rather Belicheckian end to a 20 year long domination tour. The coach, of course, is known as an analytical decision maker who rather cut a player too early than too late. The XFL rule that the NFL must adopt

The XFL has burst onto the scene. By burst I mean the league has yet to fold. In all seriousness, as a football fan I am just happy there is semi-coherent football being played. Sure quarterback play isn't up to snuff (with the exception of a couple guys) but the XFL is doing something very cool. Other leagues have failed because they try and emulate or compete with the NFL. The XFL had basically filled a need (spring football) and provided enough wild concepts to keep your average fan somewhat interested. Honestly thats all football loving degenerates like myself need. The NFL would be wise to check their immense egos and improve their game through a key rule change.  The adoption of the XFL's revolutionary kickoff structure is a must for the league.
