Wild Card Predication: Bengals vs. Steelers
Gotta love this divisional matchup of two injury riddled teams. The Steelers on the one hand are down to Fitzgerald Toussiant at running back. The Bengals on the other hand are rolling with AJ Mccarron at quarterback. This should make for a bit of an unpredictable game if I have ever seen one.
Pittsburgh will ride and die with the pass. The key for them will be getting the most out of Martavias Bryant. The bengals will do everything they can to shut down Antonio Brown. Heath Miller does not posses game breaking ability and Markus Wheaton lacks consistency. This makes Bryant the X-factor. At his best he is a freak of nature with a similar skill set to Calvin Johnson and Julio Jones. At his worst he is a Justin Hunter clone, that disappears for stretches at a time. If he can turn in one of the those Jones/Johnson games then Pittsburgh will score enough to overcome their awful pass defence.
This leads me to the second X-Factor for this game: Mr. AJ Mccarronn. Pittsburgh's pass defence is barely up to NFL standards and good qbs have feasted on them for the past two years. AJ has been very solid thus far. He has sa couple great wins under his belt and is not afraid to take shots down the field. If he can hook up with AJ Green and Tyler Eifert consistently we might have a full fledged shootout on our hands.
I predict that AJ and Ben will both put up great numbers. This will be a must watch for fans of exciting plays down the field. However, Mccarron will make one crucial mistake (as is common for young qbs, see denver game) that will cost this team. Plus, Big Ben has been there before and his savy will show through
