Bengals Dolphins preview

Well damn. The entire dolphins team is injured and the bengals are very due for win. Pretty cut and dry here. Dont tell me that though, on gut instinct I took the phins plus 7.5 and half, fuck me right? Seriously though, this game will be interesting. Both teams are in desperate need of win because they are fading fast. The Bengals should not be 1-2, this team is loaded from top to bottom and its about time they showed it. The phins are still adjusting to their new coach, though the effort and grit has improved under Gase, the oline and injuries will waste a valiant effort by the defence. Bengals 30 Dolphins 17

Josh Gordon

Apparently he is entering rehab. Dude just stop smoking weed, like holy fuck man. Better yet, get on the same page with the rest of the stoners in the NFL and figure out when drug testing is. Its not rocket science man. Every player poll claims that basically everyone in the NFL smokes. Only you and Leveon bell are dumb enough to get caught every goddamn time. Also, its not that addictive dude. Just maybe stop so you can make millions of dollars, mkay. Better yet replace the spliff with a couple beers after a nice workout. You had so many chances and ways to spin this and only one of them ended with you putting your career on hold once again. This dufus is capable of tearing the league apart and as a fan I wanted to see it. Too bad my man is a mental midget.

Dez Bryant

Anyone else find this whole situation just a little strange? Dez fucked up his knee against the Bears and then cam back and played. This week he was scheduled for MRI and didnt show up because he thought his injury was going to put his season in jeopardy (incurring a fine). Next, it was reported he had a hairline fracture in his knee. Ive been a football fan for a while and I have never heard of a hariline fracture in someone's knee. Then, the NFL's resident senile old man (Jerry Jones) went on the radio and said Dez was going to play. Finally, Schefty reported that Dez wasnt in fact going to play. What in the actual fuck is going on in Cowboy land? Cause it looks shady and smells fishy as shit. This might actually be a genius way of getting teams to gameplan for Bryant, not knowing if he is gonna play or not. Thus, keeping their opponent on edge. I would say Goddell should step in and get this injury report thing figured out. Some rule about deception on the injury report, we ...

Watt on the shelf

Devastating loss for the Texans. JJ Watt is out for a minimum 8 weeks, after re-injuring his back last week. He literally has no one to blame but himself on this one. Maybe, a little harsh but hear me out. He waited until late in the offseason to have the surgery and instead of waiting the prescribed few weeks he forced his way back onto the field. I'm no doctor but I don't think you should fuck around with a back injury. This sucks for Texans fans but the harsh reality is Mr. Watt made a number of mistakes in timing of surgery and disregard for doctors orders. Apparently, this is an injury that might effect his long term health as well. This is what you get for not listening to a doctor, I mean he only went to medical school. "Waits for karma to hit Tyrann Mathieu"", knock on fuckin wood cards fans. P.S. if you want a good laugh hop on twitter and look at his mentions under every tweet. Props to Pardon My Take for essentially chasing this try-hard off the twit...

Saints Falcons preview

This will be an interesting one. Like an idiot, I saw the match up and bet the over. Only to realize that the Saints have their entire team out due to injury. In all seriousness, this game still reeks of offence. The Saints d was historically bad last year and still has a bunch of holes. The Falcons cant even get close to the other teams qb and their secondary is average save Desmond Trufant. As long as the Falcons have Julio and the Saints have Drew, expect fireworks. The execution might not be pretty but there will be tds. Falcons 31 Saints 35

Reece cut

Marcel Reece was cut by the Raiders today. This guy can flat out ball. He's a fullback who can lineup at running back. Hes a good enough receiver to play tight end and a sick enough blocker to play the traditional fullback role. For the Raiders to let this guy go is insane. He literally can play three different positions. His addition to any team would be a coup. He literally does everything if you include his ability to play special teams. This guy will be a steal for anyone smart enough to pick his ass up. Cough Cards grab this guy cough cough.

Russell Wilson

*Tries to check Cardinal bias at the door.  One of the more under appreciated story lines of the entire season is the Seahawks inability to let Russell Wilson heal. A little background, the guy twisted his ankle real bad in the Miami opener. Flash forward to this week and the hit he took made it look like he snapped his fuckin ACL. Official diagnosis is a sprained MCL and sprained ankle. Now, a franchise with a young quarterback and multiple superbowl appearances, tend to error on the side of caution when it comes to shit like this. Not Pete Carroll, the dumbass already said Wilson is playing on Sunday. Thats insane to me. Wilson is heavly dependent on his legs and ability to create something out of nothing. Two leg injuries heavily decreases his ineffectiveness. To not even entertain the idea of sitting him for a week is beyond insane. This is eerly similar to what the Redskins did to RG3 in his first year. Sure it didnt all happen in the same game but the pressure of carrying t...

Oddell Beckham is still a fuckin loser

Cry me a river Oddell, seriously can you be any less mentally tough? Hes fighting a goal post and crying like a baby after a regular season loss. This guy is the epitome of millennials and their growing presence in the NFL. Emotional, self entitled midgets that deal with adversity like a three year old. You know he wanted to sock Josh Norman but couldn't because of intense repercussions. Instead he decided to fight and lose to a kicking net. The best part of this whole saga is the fact that his head coach called his ass out. Absolutely hilarious display from this peacock looking muthafucka. P.S. I know I've thrown intense shade at OBJ but the guy consistently makes the front page for being a babayback bitch....whats a blogger to do? P.P.S If you missed this epic showdown take a look https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhCPko_AFTQ

Cards round up

Fuck man. I;ve never seen a team try and lose as hard as we did yesterday, The run defence was absolutely putrid. Taylor's big run, shadys td, there wasn't even a goddamn defensive player on the screen. Palmer decided to do his best NFC championship impression and Floyd dropped a shitton of passes. And still we had a chance to win. Our rookie long snapper and punter made the executive decision that we were going to lose this fuckin game. The reason Im so fuckin frusterated is this is a talented team top to bottom. There is nothing more frustrating as fan then when your team continues to shoot themselves in the foot. The one thing I will say though is the division is a goddamn dumpster fire. Russell Wilson is basically playing on crutches, the 9ers are well....the 9ers and the rams are the same old rams (defensively dominate and offensively inept). Its gonna be ugly but I think a division win is still in the cards. We just need to stop making mistakes....easier said then done.

Josh Norman is a pussy

One of my favorite rivalries in sport might be going the way of the dinosaurs. The ever entertaining and borederline psycotic, Josh Norman cam out today and said he moved passed the Beckham beef. Get the fuck out of here with that. These two guys have a pure hatred for each other that makes for one of the more compelling watches in the NFL. My inclination is to believe that this is just lip service. However, Josh Norman is not a lip service kind of guy. He says exactly what hes thinking almost to a fault. The whole point of you going to Washington was to entertain the shit out of me by making Oddell pull temper tantrums. Give me what I want Josh. The NFL is soft as shit now all I want is a goddamn brawl between two guys who actually despise each other. Is that too much to ask? P.S. I really hope Dez and Oddell's little tickle fight love affair is not a sign of things to come. In case you missed this super masculine showing the link is below http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/20...

Corey Coleman breaks hand

I know you guys are just itching to get updates on my fantasy team. SO heres another beautiful nugget of good luck (notice the sarcasm). Mr. Corey Coleman, flex play to the stars shattered his fuckin hand in practice yesterday. Im not sure if I'm cursed or if the Browns are actually under some sort of voodoo magic where a witch is just stabbing the shit out of some doll with a Browns jersey but here we are. In all seriousness, it must suck to love a franchise that continues to defy physics, logic or any sort of reason in both futility and luck. Here I am complaining about my made up team when some of the best fans in the NFL are actually losing their fuckin minds (if they werent already). Hopefully this kid comes back soon because he looks like a fuckin stud. Lord knows Cleveland could use a stud not named Haden or Thomas.

Pats Texans preview

Instability at qb. In past years, you would think I was talking about the Texans. But no, its the pats with the stability issue. I mean if anyone can overcome this thing its the Pats (as much as it pains me to say it). However, I have to say, not signing a qb was a borderline retarded move. Like honestly guys? Julian Edleman is going to be your backup qb. Yeah, take your best offensive player (not named Brady) and put him in a position he hasnt played at the NFL level. Oh yeah and hes injury prone and their oline is shit. But hey its your funeral. I sure as hell hope Legarrette Blount (or however you spell that trip of a first name) came to play because hes gonna be busy tonight. On the Texans side it will be interesting to see how New England shuts down all of the weapons on offence. Sure they havent put together a full game of production yet but a team featuring Miller, Fuller, Hopkins and an emerging qb in Oswieler is no joke. If we are being truly honest this will most likely be a ...

Injuries everywhere

Maybe its because my fantasy team has been decimated but I've noticed a shit ton of key injuries. It being this early year, the shit kind of sucks doesn't it? Sometimes I wish the NFL had a no injury button you could turn on and off ala. Madden franchise mode. Here are some of the key injuries in the last week. A.P. : Things were murky for AP. Some said he could play through, others thought it would be a few weeks. Unfortunately for vikings fans, it looks like he is going to miss most (if not) the entire year. Shit, it just wasn't meant to be, I guess Doug Martin: This one hit me right in the fantasy gonads. One of my top picks, goes out and fucks up his hammy. Anyone who is familiar with a hamstring injury knows that it can spell doom for a back. That kind of thing lingers all season, which leads me to my next gripe..... John Stewart: Another fantasy pick, another goddamn hammy injury. What did I do to deserve this. Stewart is going to be out for a couple weeks with ...

The Redskins lockerroom

Is there a more dysfunctional locker room in sports? Like holy shit guys keep your criticisms private one time for me. In case you didnt here some redskins players are fed up with Kirk COusins and want to see Colt McCoy play. I know, hilarious right? My question is not so much them second guessing their qb but how this shit gets out. The same thing happened with RG3. Every game their was some unnamed player bashing him. Sure he was trash but teams handle stuff like that internally. In times like this you have to question the leadership. Jay Gruden clearly has no control over his lockerroom if every little controversy goes public. At some point you gotta to take charge Jay. You ran Griffin out of town and put your own guy in there. Now your letting the lockeroom split down the middle. The best is Gruden telling the media every little flaw that needs to be cleaned up. Hes like a millenial on twitter...just cant help himself.

Wentz man

Kid looks poised out there. I dont understand how he can be so fundamentally sound that quick. The kid from North Dakota is coming along a lot faster then anyone thought. The truth is he is just a perfect fit for Pederson's Offence. A guy that has the same skill set as Alex Smith is a perfect transition for someone who was basically raised in the same offence under Andy Reid. Its the perfect qb/ coach marriage. Still cant believe he hasnt thrown a pick yet. On what planet does a rookie D1-AA qb go 2-0 and not throw a single pick. Sure its the Bears and Browns but you gotta start somewhere. My rookie of the year pick, so far. The ginger rains supreme...for now.

Peterson done for a while

Man being a vikings fan doesn't get any easier. Coming into the season, this was a legit superbowl contender. Young talent everywhere, the best back in the league and a qb on the rise. Unfortunately, two of those three things are now in doubt. AP is a freak of nature so he might not be shelved as long as one might think. However, a meniscus tear to a running back over thirty could mean a long stay on the injury report. The weird thing is the defence is good enough to potentially keep them in the hunt. Theres always next year vikings fans. Not something you want to hear after week 2.

Stefon Diggs is a bad man

Everyones all Bradford this, Bradford that. Sure he played well enough but Stefon Diggs is the real story here. He looks absolutely sick. His combination of route running, hands and speed makes him a bonafide number one. The fact that he was able to beat a pretty good Packers secondary to the tune of almost 200 yards says a lot about his trajectory. With the Adrian Peterson injury and Bradford's supreme lack of consistency, Diggs needs to continue to murder it for the team to have any sort of chance. Call me crazy but I think hes up to the task.

No Brady, No Garrappolo, no problem?

The good news for the Pats: Jimmy G looks sick and can absolutely be a starter down the line. The bad news: His shoulder is absolutely fucked. Weird game in New England yesterday. The pats came out like world beaters and then Jimmy hit the deck. The phins almost completed a stunning comeback but came up just a little short. A running theme for the phins. Brissett to his credit looked serviceable enough to get the Pats through the next couple games. Thats all they need from him, just dont fuck it up. It will be interesting to see if they bring in a veteran qb to compete with Jacoby. If theres one thing I do know, never a dull moment in New England.

Cardinals roundup

Man we needed that one. That Pats loss had me just a little worried. This is supposed to be a superbowl contending team and last week did not show that. However, the systematic dismantling of a pretty good Tampa team was fuckin excellent. Everything that seemed to be an issue last week became a strength this week. Thats what good coaches do, they adjust. The pass defence opposite PP was excellent. Marcus Cooper, the forgotten man in KC played huge (2 picks and a td). The defensive line held up and the pass rush was actually getting to Jameis. On offence, they finally looked like last years team again. Palmer bombing it and Dave Johnson making a million guys miss. I can feel myself bragging a bit so I'll stop but goddamn it feels good to be back in the win column.

Giants throw shade on Norman

Oh man I love this fuckin rivalry. So much blog worthy material. Everybody knows the Norman-Beckham beef. Whats surprising is his lack of involvement in this particular circumstance. Victor Cruz decided to call Norman out for not following Brown all over the feild. A couple things here. He has a good point. You cant call yourself the best corner in the league if you are assigned to a certain side, scheme or not (that goes for you too Sherman). The best corners face the best recievers on the other team, plain and simple. Sure its out of his control but these are the facts. The peculiar thing about this is Cruz himself. Guy just played his first game in like two years. Just relax and focus on staying healthy, you are not exactly in position to chirp this guy. At least not yet. Either way, a fired up Norman makes for compelling TV. I just hopes he goes for the juglar when he covers Beckham. Make him his own worst enemy. It genius and I dont understand how thats not every teams first insti...

Jets and Bills preview

An afc east showdown tonight. By showdown, I mean a couple of bumbling offences will try to penetrate two excellent defences. This is the type of game that I wouldnt go near given the option but hey its thrusday and its better then no football. In all seriousness, this will be a great defensive tilt with two teams that no each other all too well. The jets dline and the bills secondary will be two units to pay attention to. Both are among the best in the league. The key matchup has to be the bills corners vs the jets receivers. This matchup will be a dog fight all night long. Look for a couple big plays from Decker and Marshall and a turnover or two for Darby and Gilmore. The key for the bills is to actually throw the ball more then five yards. Their strategy last week was perplexing. Hand the ball to shady, throw the ball to shady and ignore clay and Watkins. What adds to the confusion is Tyrod Taylors beautiful deep bal, let the guy sling it. For the Jets it will be Matt Forte. if For...

Rookies Rookies Rookies

One of my favorite traditions is the ridiculous pressure and hype that comes with being a rookie qb. By far the best example has to be Dak Prescott. Guy has a few good preaseaon games and cowboys fans think he is the next aikman. I will say he did look very good in their game against the Giants. Steady, yet unspectacular; not usually synonymis with a rookie qb but the kid deserves credit. However, he is in a classic no-win situation. The Dak hype train will only build. When he inevitably has his rookie game (or multiple games), the same fans that are sucking him off will want him benched. Welcome to the league rook. Our next case study is the latest mild mannered ginger to enter the spot light, Mr. Carson Wentz. Wentz found himself in a starting position on the eve of the regular season and put together a nice little performance. His hype is on overdrive right now. Lets not forget he played the Browns, yes the Browns. Also, his supporting cast is nothing to write home about (minus the ...

Monday night recap

Those fuckin games sucked guys. I was all in on the Redskins Steelers. To be fair it was competitive for a bit and then Deanglo Williams and antonio brown did the damn thing, as per usual. Captain Kirk the checkdown master still hasnt beaten a team with a winning record. Oh and the run game stinks. Norman should have maybe followed Brown. Again Im not a coach but didnt that seem obvious? Is there anything really to say about the night game? Im just glad I went to bed early. The Rams should be seriously concerned about their offence. Sure the defence wasnt great but they were on the field the entire time..soo. Case Keenum stinks, the offensive line stinks, Tavon looked meh. The one bright spot was Kenny Britt, who I didnt even know was still alive. Chip Kelly can coach man. Hes a psychopath and a lot of players hate him but the man can coach, I will say that. Also that dline isn't to bad. Good thing the drunk guy ran onto the field or their might have been a mutiny

Russell Wilson

Man that game was a snooze fest. Miami and Seattle had a contest to see who could score the fewest points (spoiler Miami won). In the process Wilson fucked up his ankle. You could see it effecting him after Suh stomped his ass. This is huge as Wison's game is predicated on movement and you kind of need an ankle for that. News out of Seattle is things arent looking good and his status for week 2 is up in the air. This is a hell of a problem for the Hawks as their backup is an undrafted free agent. The hawks really didnt think about a backup plan at all. Kind of a strange move from a team with a mobile qb. I feel like all of them (save Carolina) should have a battle tested backup when they inevitably get pommeled (see Griffin, Robert).

RG3

This man will never learn. If you havent heard hes injured again. The source of this injury: stupidity. He was scarmbling (big surprise) and on his way out of bounds he tries to truck a safety for no reason. Now his non-throwing shoulder is fucked. Just slide bro, get out of bounds. Your a fuckin twig, use your speed and get down. I guess that means Terrell Pryor will have to get the rest of his 1800 yards from someone else. Right Charles Woodson? http://factoryofsadness.co/2016/09/11/espns-charles-woodson-predicts-terrelle-pryor-will-catch-1800-yards/

Cardinals roundup

That was tough man. I'm usually not a shit talker but I was all in on this game. I figured no Brady, no Gronk would spell victory. Not an easy victory but victory nontheless. The offence looked disjointed for much of the game but was able to finish strong. The defence still appears to have the same issues as last year, limited pass rush and no one on the other side of PP. However, The passrush doesnt really bother me as Chandler Jones and Markus Golden will continue to get better. What does bother me is missed tackles and Brandon Williams getting burnt to a crisp. This guy cannot be anything more then a nickel until he learns the NFL game. I never thought I'd say this but we need Justin Bethel back in the worst way. Despite all of these issues, there was a clear chance to win, insert rookie long snapper. People would like to blame Arians for using his timeouts ridiculously early but the fact of the matter is, we had a chance to win and didnt take advantage. Back to the drawing ...

Cam Newton's brains

Helluva a game yesterday, exciting back and forth....what more can you ask for. The first game of the season inevitably brings on a bunch of over blown stories because footballs finally back. My favorite of the stories is Cam Newtons head. Theres no doubt that the guy took a beating last night. Thats what happens when you face the Broncos. However, this nonsense outrage on whether he was tested for a concussion is trash. If you get sneezed on the NFL will test you for consussion. Theres also this weird thing, not sure if you guys have heard of it but you get hit in the head and somhow dont get concussion. I know crazy right? Furthermore, this whole "Cam doesnt get any penalties arguement" is B.S. The guy is fuckin impossible to tackle, so yeah he needs to be smashed by four guys in order to go down. This is not Brady we are talking about here, this guy wont just go down if he sees a defnder. Also, look at the tape. He goes head first into the 300 hundred pounders, he invties ...

Carolina-Denver preview

This Superbowl rematch just doesnt have me that excited. That what happens when one team trots out fuckin Trevor SIemian against the Panthers smothering defence. Dont get me wrong, this game will be closer then it should be because Denvers defence is fuckin outstanding. Its gonna be one of those games....lots of 2-3 yard runs, a shit ton of sacks and multiple closeups of kickers and punters. If your a big old school football guy then this is right up your alley. Im stoked that football is back but this matchup is definitely not my cup of tea. Key Matchup: Mike Riemers (or how ever the fuck you spell his name) and Von Miller Reimers still has nightmares from the superbowl. Von Miller literally made him look like a turnstile. Now expecting him to stop Von is ridiculous but containing him will be key. The Panthers need to employ misdirections, screens and draws so that their right tackle doesnt get murdered. Advantage: Miller. Though I am confident that Mike Shula will adjust in this ...

The media is trying to murder Carson Palmer

Another day, another interview for carson palmer. Like any qb on a team with superbowl aspirations he answers shittons of questions from the media. But yesterday was different. With a matchup against the Pats looming, the topic that everyone hates comes up (deflategate). Palmer gave a standard nondescript answer. He said he didnt know the specifics of deflategate but if Brady broke the rules he deserves to be punished. Simple enough right? Nope. The media did what they do best and weaved his answer into some sort of assualt on Brady. Now everyone's bitching at Carson for essentially avoiding a question that he clearly didnt want to answer. What really gets me is that no one seems to be able to see through this bullshit. Am I taking crazy pills or is the least news worthy thing to go viral in recent memory? Well probably not but the point remains. The thing that fucks with me is that ol'cut sleeves Belicheck is gonna turn this into bulletin board material. If the past is any ind...

Josh Sitton

This is a big coup by the Bears. Im not too sure why the Packers cut this guy in the first place. From what I can pick up, Sitton is one of the NFL's most dominant guards. The Packers are known for keeping their own players, especially if they are sick. This makes me question what the deal actually is with Sitton. Im inclined to think it was cash related. The Bears play this guy twice a year and if he was declining I dont think they would have given him a 3 year 22 million dollar deal. If hes the same old Josh then the Bears just got significantly better in a place that has forever been a weakness. Cutler must be stoked.

Al-Jeezera reports

Is there anyone out there who still thinks Al-Jeezera is real? Lets not forget that Peyton Manning ran this place out of the states over the false claims made about him. Lets also not forget that this pathetic excuse for a news outlet also claimed a few players were using steroids. Now, if you guys know the NFL like I do, chances are you understand that they are not big fans of facts (as I have written in previous blogs). Usually an accusation will at least get a player suspended for a game, thats just how Roger roles. The fact that James Harrison, Julius Peppers and Clay Mathews were all interviewed and the NFL decided to drop the case. When is the last time the NFL dropped anything? This just proves that this pathetic news outlet is not be followed or trusted. Maybe is a "The Onion" situation and they are trolling all of us. If thats the case, I take back everything I just said.

Bradford deal

How Sam Bradford has convinced multiple teams that he is a good starting qb is beyond me. The vikings gave up a first round pick to get this guy....let that sink in. Teams dont just part with picks like these. They especially dont hand them over for one year stop-gap options with limited upside. Best case scenario for the viking is a playoff birth, followed by a quick exit (because Bradford is junk). It baffles me that the vikings are giving up a potential franchise staple (that pick) for a gimpy-kneed overrated qb that they didnt even want. You have a young team Minnesota, just be patient.

Teddy down!

Brutal for vikings fans. All reports out of camp were Teddy was making large strides. This is a team that was ready for a deep playoff run and now theyll be lucky to sniff the wildcard. The manner of his injury should make team officials and fans very concerned about his prospects for the beginning of next year. A torn ACL and dislocated knee cap is no joking matter, it will be interesting to follow his recovery.
