nfl week 3 rapid fire takeaways part 1

Jets-Dolphins: Disgusting game for the phins offence. Both Jays stunk up the field. Ajayi couldnt get anything going in the face of the underrated Jets front seven. Cutler looked awful mechanically and gave the haters some serious ammo. The defence was no better for the phins as Josh freaking Mccown looked like a world beater. Bilal Powell and Robbie Anderson rounded out a surprisingly competent offensive attack. On defence they were incredibly stout. Jamal Adams looks like he could be a potential all pro someday.

Bengals-Packers: The Bengals almost had it. They played the kind of football one can expect when you have that many weapons. They did this crazy thing where they threw AJ Green the ball and good things happened, who would have thought. Andy Dalton bounced back and Joe Mixon had spurts of good looking ball. The defence harassed aaron rodgers all day with Carl Lawson (3 sacks) and Will Jackson (pick six) leading the charge. The Packers line was abused by the Cincy pass rush in the early going. They battered Rodgers and kept X-factor Ty Montgomery under wraps. However, they caught fire in the second half with Rodgers finding Geronimo Allison in key situations. This culminated in a thrilling overtime victory for the Pack.

Bills-Broncos: The Broncos should have had this one. Unfortunately, the Bills defence had other plans. They battered and harassed Semens (nope this joke is still totally funny) all day. The result, two crippling interceptions that cost the team the game. On the positive side for Denver, the duo of Jamal Charles and CJ Anderson is formidable. This will become more apparent down the stretch. The defence held up well against the run. They held Shady Mccoy under 50 yards. They weren't prepared for Tyrod Taylor, however. Taylor had his best game in quite sometime. He blended his athleticism with efficient passing as he took full advantage of great field position time and time again. The defence came to ball and is the reason they knocked off the formidable Broncos.
