Playoff preview: Miami-Pitt
Huge matchup here. The upstart Dolphins have had a magical season under upstart Adam Gase. Unfortunately, in true phins fashion Ryan Tannehill was lost to injury. However, there are conflicting reports that he might actually be ready for the wild card game. Hard to imagine with a partial tear in his acl. Though stranger things have happened (see Rivers, Phillip vs the colts in the playoffs). Luckily for Miami, they are in good hands with Matt Moore. He has been a steady producer with a pension for big plays. Despite the score in New England, Moore put the team in position to suceed time and time again. A couple bone headed fumbles and penalties were the difference. On the defensive side of the ball, its been a struggle. The line is capable of keeping the team in games but there secodary is abolsulety atrocious. Injuries have them starting fourth string no names at corner and safety. tough when your playing an offensive inclined team like Pitt.
On the other side, Steelers fans are excited. The triplets have never been healthy at the same time going into the playoffs yet. This makes them incredibly dangerous on the offensive side of the ball. The phins should be evenly matched in the run game with Suh, Alonso and Wake. However, Leveon Bell can only be contained not stopped. They will feast on the phins secodary, however. Look for Antonio Brown to have a huge game. On defence Pitt has been very solid throughout the year checking in at 12 overall. There run defence will be tested by the always dangerous Jay Ajayi. Though they should be up to the task with Shazier and Timmons leading the way. Where they will struggle is covering Jarvis Landry and Devante Parker on the outside. Corner has long been an issue for the team and look for Matt Moore/ Tannehill to realy test these guys.
Overall, this game will be a bit of a shootout with each team exposing the others secondary. Look for big games from Ajayi and Brown, with excellent supporting performances from Bell and Landry. What it comes down to is Big Ben, you best believe he is gonna outduel Matt Moore
