Doug Martin

Its good to see flashes of the doug martin we knew this year. Kid had an explosive rookie year and looked like he was going to be a top running back for a long time. Flash forward three years, some ineffectiveness (to be fair team wasnt exactly great) and a couple injuries and hes back. Anyways Im happy for doug yata yata yata....but has anyone ever been so greatful about a nickname? Like holy fuck dude most nfl players dont even get nicknames. You got one of the coolest (muscle hamster) and you have the audacity to complain. Like he legitmately is angry when you call him that, quit bitching and own it, you earned that shit. Anyways the reason I'm talking about this is because he gave himself a new nickname today. In possibly the gayest move ever (yup im going to use gay like it means stupid because thats the shit I grew up with) he deemed himself dougernaut, worst nickname ever. Anyways your lucky your good again doug because you were coming off as not only ungreatful but washed. I'm stoked about the return of the muscle hamster.

The man, the myth, the legend. A fixture of professional sports for the last 20 years. Tom Brady seemed destine to ride off into the sunset on a half functional body and a relatively intact brain, donning a Patriots jersey. It seems that the ancient quarterback and his morally inept team had something else in mind. Brady met with Belicheck and thats that, no progress, no give and take. It seemed like a rather Belicheckian end to a 20 year long domination tour. The coach, of course, is known as an analytical decision maker who rather cut a player too early than too late. Anyone who watched Brady last year saw a noticeable drop in all statistical categories. When you arer 42 years old it is not unreasonable to see a steady decline in production. The XFL rule that the NFL must adopt

The XFL has burst onto the scene. By burst I mean the league has yet to fold. In all seriousness, as a football fan I am just happy there is semi-coherent football being played. Sure quarterback play isn't up to snuff (with the exception of a couple guys) but the XFL is doing something very cool. Other leagues have failed because they try and emulate or compete with the NFL. The XFL had basically filled a need (spring football) and provided enough wild concepts to keep your average fan somewhat interested. Honestly thats all football loving degenerates like myself need. The NFL would be wise to check their immense egos and improve their game through a key rule change.  The adoption of the XFL's revolutionary kickoff structure is a must for the league.
