Joey Bosa

Eh, the entitled bitch finally signed. This whole saga was ridiculous. Bosa whining about a fully guarenteed contract when he hadnt done shit was laughable. The CHargers trying to defer bonus money was weird. Both sides were straight assholes but I have to side with the team here. Bosa came into a league with a rookie scale, meaning there is only a little bit of room for negotiation in terms of dollars and cents. Instead of realizing he is getting money upfront for doing nothing in the league, he whined about it. He held out for too long and now hes behind the eightball in terms of assimilating, not what you want out of your top pick. They finally agreed on a contract that gives the big baby his large rookie signing bonus (17 million) and allows for the chargers to defer a small chunk of said bonus until next year. Both sides got to stroke their egos and everyone won....I think

Trevor fuckin Siemian

What a story out of Denver. You have a first round pick, a guy with success pre "buttfumble" and a second year man who hasnt thrown an NFL pass. Guess who wins.....your wrong, its the fuckin guy with no experience. This is not some ragtag team either. Were talking about the superbowl champs here. Never in the history of the league has a superbowl team returned a new starter with no NFL experience, ever. Part of me is confused as all hell but the other part of me wonders. Gary Kubiak knows qbs, thats what he does. He made Matt Schaub look sick, Flacco had a career year and Brock Osweiler looked like a world-beater. This guy clearly knows something we dont. If your Siemian sure the pressure is there but really your job is straight forward....dont fuck up. You have one of the best defences in recent memory, a punishing ground game and two all star caliber receivers. If there was ever a wet dream scenario for a qb it would be this.

Colin sackorpick

This is one hell of an issue. Lets focus on the football side of things for a minute, shall we? Colin sackorpick decided not to stand for the national anthem during a preseason game. I think he forgets who he is. This isn't superbowl Kaep, this is losing the starting job to Blaine Gabbert, Kaep. This version of sackorpick is expendable. All he did was give the niners a reason to jettison him out of town. Unless he shows he can still play the baggage might out weigh the product on the field. In which case his days in the NFL maybe numbered. Now onto the social side. Look I know Im a dumbass football blogger so dont take my word as gospel (not that any of you did to begin with). I know racial tensions are high in the states and I know many black people feel that they are marginalized. I will say, in general, the responses to this injustice has been incredibly counterproductive. Looting, rioting and the killing of police officers is not the best way to get cops to stop being quick wit...

Arians rushed to hospital

Probably the closest I've come to a heartattack this side of the 08 superbowl. Bruce Arians was rushed to hospital with stomach pains and I braced for the worst. Luckily he was released shortly thereafter with what, I can only guess is a case of severe fat guy gas. Does us Cards fans a favor Bruce and drink some pepto bismal before you decide to scare the shit out of long suffering, fragile Cards fans like myself. In all seriousness, I'm just glad my football messiah has risen from the hospital to coach another season for the red and white.

4 picks in one half

I dont think anoyone thought this was at all possible. Landry Jones (Pitts backup qb) managed to sling 4 picks in one half. The crazy thing about this situation is the fact that Jones is a seemingly capable backup qb who has had his moments when given a chance. This is not some scrub but a legit backup in this league. Sure you can point to the fact that it is preseason but fuck if I have anything ele to write about. 4 interceptions, you really have to just throw into double coverage every play. Maybe this was all part of Jones's plan. Play well enough to be backup but just shitty enough to convince teams that you arent the answer. If thats the case I commend Mr. Jones. Backup qb is one of the best jobs in sports and Landry has mastered the art of mediocrity.

Dareus suspended

The league is fucked. Can we all just agree on that. Without sounding like a redundent hippy, I have to say that this weed shit is getting ridiculous. We have another supreme talent suspended for smoking a little ganja. This problem is becoming so repetitive and ridiculous that the word around the NFL is many owners want to eliminate drug testing for Marijuana all together. Its not a performance enhancing drug and it benefits long term player health when substituted for opioids that are used to mitigate inevitable pain. The Bills will suffer without Dareus and the fact that the league is willing to continuously suspend players for this issue is beyond ridiculous. Figure it out NFL, Im tired of losing star players for getting the munchies.

Al-Jeezera report

News broke today that NFL players named in the Al-Jeezera report of PED use were to submit to interviews or be suspended. The players named are Mike Neal, Clay Mathews, Julius Peppers and James Harrison. Now I am torn on this issue. On the one side Al-Jeezera made some interesting claims against Peyton Manning that were so outlandish (or justified) that the site literally shut down its American office. Explain to me how a website tht cant even keep its doors open can level claims that threaten to alter the careers of some of the NFL's best. Whats not surprising is the NFL's threats against those named in said report. We all know the NFL loves witchhunts. Roger Goddell is not a big fact guy. From Bountygate to deflategate, the commissioners hardline stances on seemingly random claims with limited backing has long been his forte. Now, whats almost more curious then the NFL's decision to push the envelope is the fact that these players wont simply submit to these interviews. N...

Tyrann Mathieu

Steve Keim does it again. Anyone who doesn't think this guy isn't in the top 2 or 3 gms in the league is a fuckin idiot. Getting a potential 80 to 90 million dollar talent to sign for 62 million over 5 years is nothing short of genius. I know Mathieu has an injury problem and is obsessed with being a Cardinal but this contract is still genius. Sure 40 million guarenteed was a pick selling point but this feels like a steal for the Cards.
