Joey Bosa pick

Big pickup for the Chargers. This a team that needed an infusion of star power and the best pass rusher in the draft will do just that. Many thought San diego would go with a tackle but the prospect of matching Melvin Ingram with Bosa proved too inciting to turn down. Bosa is a certified game wrecker that should step in right away and provide 6-8 sacks along with a number of pressures. Thus making the rest of the defence that much better. I grade this pick an A.

Wentz pick

Eagles made the expected pick and I couldnt agree more. Wentz will be a stud but he is not ready yet. He has all of the skills but no experience against excellent competition. He has a big arm, good accuracy and an excellent ability to scramble. Basically, everything people want in the modern quarterback. Hopefully that Baby back bitch Bradford stays and plays a year while they groom Wentz for next year. If the Eagles play this right this could turn out to be an A plus pick.

Rams take Goff

I dont love this pick. I'm a big Wentz guy and I thought he was the right pick. Thats not to say Goff wasnt the right pick for the Rams. They need to win right now and Goff is ready to play right away. I do think we are going to see some growing pains similar to that of Blake Bortles. The fact that the Rams have Todd Gurley and that defence will make things a lot easier for Goff. However, adjusting to a pro style offence and improving his deep accuracy and ball placement will be key. Personal feelings aside, this is a solid pick that should help the Rams, if not this year then done the line.

Cardinals draft recap

What a steal. Robert however-the-fuck you spell his last name is a classic cards pick. Top 10 talent with character concerns. Just like Tyrann Mathieu before him, the veteran leadership and tough coaching should keep this guy in check. In fact, he is a darnell dockett clone. Just a psycho with an affinity for wierd twitter posts and exotic pets. I love it, I want a little crazy in my dline. Hes a physical freak who has premier pass rushing skills for a 3-4 end. This line just got so much better. By the time Keim and Arians are done this front seven is going to be premier.

Sam Bradford is a whiny bitch

This guy is literally baffling. Not only has he tricked two teams into paying him way more money then he is worth but now he wants out? Guy cashed in with philly, now hes whining his way out of philly because he has to compete. Newsflash, your Sam Bradford, you should always have to compete. You never get the benefit of the doubt. Just be happy that there is actually a team who is willing to say the starting job is essentially yours. Correct me if I am wrong but didnt Howie Roseman say they want to slowplay their rookie. That means at least a few games to prove that you can start, while attempting to stay healthy. My favourite thing about this whole thing is him talking about scenarios, like "oh San Francisco, not a good fit". You have no leverage, just a shitton of guarenteed money. Go compete Sam, you havent earned shit.

Deflategate

I thought this was gone, passed us. Another NFL scandal forgotten, but no. While the rest of us had moved on from this ridiculous witchhunt, the NFL has been taking Tom Brady to appeals court. Refusing to admit the mistake they had made. Sure the Pats had broken a rule but that rule is not as game altering as it was made out to be. The team should have received a slap on the wrist, similar to what the Falcons had received for pumping noise into their stadium. Not this long, drawn out spectacle that has forced one of the games best players out of action for a quarter of the season. The NFL claims to be helping the game but the suspension of Tom Brady only does the opposite. I hate the Pats as much as the next guy and I think spygate was semi-legit and border-line cheating but this is something completely different. The NFL best drop this so they can begin to repair their shady and unfavourable reputation.

Norman to the Redskins

Weird scenario here that ended with Washington snatching up Josh Norman for way too much money. Carolina rescinding the franchise tag was maybe one of the more questionable moves I have seen in recent years. So you dont want to pay the man a long term deal, keep him for one more year while your championship window is still open. Recent history says a corner starts to decline at 30 so the Panthers could have got one more great year out of Norman before he got too old. I would understand the move if they didn't lose in the superbowl. They needed this guy to make another run. As far as the Redskins signing him, this isn't surprising. This move is so Washington it hurts. Give a guy with maybe two years left, elite money. When your a team that snuck into the playoffs last year you should not be sinking your money into an elite corner with limited years remaining at the top. This is why Dan Snyder will never win a championship

eagles browns blockbuster

Oh man, I dont want to say I'm psychic but.....ok I might be psychic. The eagles have traded up to the number 2 pick and gave the Browns a shitton of picks in exchange. Love this for both teams. The Browns desperately need talent at a number of positions and getting a few extra picks this year and two first rounders next year should help them get out of the basement. Then again this is the Browns so nothing is certain. I like this move by the Eagles but their qb situation is weird as shit. The confirmed that they will pick whicever qb the rams dont want. My question is, if you knew you were going to draft a qb why did you pay Bradford and Daniel so much? Alright, Bradford makes sense, starters dont come cheap but Daniel's contract, fuckin bizarre. He is the highest paid backup in the league and many people have confirmed he has a fighting chance at starting. This is going to be one crowded qb room. The best way to handle this if you are the eagles is to sit the rookie most, if ...

Browns going shopping

This is actually a really good call by the Browns. They have made it known that the second overall pick is available and trading it would be best. When you have that many needs it makes sense to grab as many draft picks as possible and move down. If the titans rams swap is any indication, a trade would net them some serious value in a really deep draft. If they do stay, I think they should take whichever qb is left after the Rams pick. This isn't the same old Browns team, Hugh Jackson can coach up qbs. Either Goff or Wentz would get the development they need, it just might not be pretty early on.

Hoyer cut

Makes sense. Brian Hoyer is one of those guys that can get you to the playoffs if he has a great supporting cast. However, he sure as shit is not going to win it for you. You just knew that the 5 turnover playoff game sealed his fate. Bringing in Brock Oswieler made things pretty clear what direction they were going in. Really strange move releasing him this late into free agency. I feel like he wont be a free agent for long. Unless he pulls the whole "I'm the starter or else" routine which is a possibility. If blue mountain state has taught me anything its that backup qb is the best job in sports. You had your time Brian just take a few million and hold a clip board for the next 5 years, I here its sick.

Manziel put the nail in the coffin

This lastest Manziel news has sealed his fate. Its one thing when there are rumours about what you do in your free time. Its another thing to trash a mansion and leave fuckin shrooms and blow all over the place. Its over, done, what a ride though. I have to say when I cant find shit to blog this guy always comes up in the clutch. I thought he could be a good player but that was long ago. Anyways I dont feel sorry for this kid at all, his family is in oil so its not like he needs our sympathy to begin with. The only thing that I am left wondering is would he have been okay if this wasnt the digital age. Thing about a Kenny Stabler for example. I feel like he would have been outed as an absolute party animal if he was alive today. Everyone just has to show each other what they are doing constantly with pictures and videos. I digress, what a ride Johnny, what a ride.

Ezekiel Elliott

This guy might be the best player in the draft. That being said he seems like a cocky dick. Between his comments about the play calling and him calling out Harbaugh this may be cause for concern. That is not to say he is not a top ten pick, he absolutely is guy is a monster. But you have to wonder if going to a place where you might lose some games off the bat will affect him. He won all the time at Ohio state and tore it up when he did but his nasty side seems to come out when things dont go his way. Whoever drafts this kid needs to have a coach that can mentor him or we might be looking at our next expressive, peculiar star

rams titans swap

wow. Who the fuck saw that coming. In case you have been living under a rock the rams and titans pulled off a monster trade that netted the rams the first overall pick. When I first saw it, my reaction was they gave up too much. However, this is probably the one team that could get away with doing this. The reason I say this is the RG3 trade netted them a large amount of picks so they could build up their team. The result is a very competitive and young roster with one significant hole, the qb position. This is where things get interesting. Goff or Wentz. A rams fan whose opnion I trust made an excellent point. You dont just mortgage your future for a guy who might be ready now but has a limited ceiling. You go out on a whim for the kid with unlimited potential. That my friends is Carson Wentz. Guy has everything a great qb needs accept one: experience. The rams need to be careful, just because you gave up all of these picks does not mean you need to force this guy into action. This is...

JJ Watt retirement shit

This guy takes the cake man. He is the biggest try-hard on the face of the planet. First he pulled the classic I played hurt last year. No shit you played hurt. I'm pretty sure every defensive lineman is hurt by the end of the year. You know the whole slamming into other lineman for four months will do that to you. But this retirement thing is the best. He basically said we wont let his skills diminish but retire on top. Find me an NFL player who doesnt want to retire on top and I will show you a liar. The reason guys come back for their 16th season (ala steve smith) is because they still think their on the top of their game. This is a classic attention seeking move by JJ. The guy just wants everyone in Houston to beg him to stick around and suck his dick more then they already do. This whole thing is right on par with his Lebron-like persona. Posting motivational quotes, workout videos and putting things into perspective on his social media everyday just to let everyone know how m...

Raiders, the heros of free agency

The Raiders continued there free agency spending spree by picking up the overlooked Reggie Nelson. How Nelson was still on the market is beyond me. Sure hes a little old but he is coming off a dominant season in which he made the pro bowl. Oakland is spending a lot but they are addressing their weaknesses which is very important. The additions of Sean Smith and Nelson will help to sure up a dogshit secondary. Combine that with an ascending offence and the Raiders might be in the wildcard race come december.

Kaepernick trade?

The Broncos want Kap, Kap wants out of San Fran. Seems pretty simple right? Wrong. In classic Kap fashion, Colin wants his cake and to eat it to. He wanted out of San Fran. The 49ers found a trade partner in Denver and they found terms that would work for both teams. The kicker is Denver wants Colin to take a paycut and of course he doesnt want that. Come on man, you can go to the defending super bowl champs who feature a solid running game and a dominant defence. This is the same formula that brough this guy great success in Niner land. But of course Mr. Sackorpick wants to keep his 12 million dollars but also leave the team. You gotta pick one Kap. Do you want to start on a team that can carry your ass back to redemption or do you want to rot away in San fran with a decimated team and a dumb ass gm? Its your choice but you cant have both. Either say your gonna come back or take a pay cut and skip town. Dont just sit there quietly and complain that you want your money and denver, fuck...

Twitter and the NFL

Interesting news out of the league office today as the NFL has made a deal with Twitter. Yes you read that right, Twitter. To stream every thursday night game next season. Am I the only one who thinks this is bizarre? What, I am going to watch the games on this little twitter screen instead of my TV? Get the fuck out of here. You gotta give the NFL credit, they are excellent when it comes to promoting and selling their brand. I guess the big question is why? Are you not making enough money as it is? As it stands right now the NFL is the most profitable league in all of North American sports by a large margin. I get that you want to expand the game but this seems a little forced. Also, wierd move by twitter to actually pony up for this. People watch the game on TV and live tweet (if they have to), those are the rules. It would almost make more sense if the games were only streamed on twitter. At least then this move would have made a little sense. There hasnt been a league-wide change i...

Mccoy wont face charges

Everyone remeber Shady's fight with those undercover cops? The one over a bottle of champagne. He also put these guys in the ER, so yeah it was supposed to be somewhat of a big deal. Surprisingly, the DA has decided to drop the charges. Wow, I guess the only way this would happen is the cops were complete fuckups who brought this on themselves. That is the only way to slice this. Anything involving cops usually gets increased attention from the DA, so this is really interesting. I guess it was one of those things were each side was being a dick. Smart of the city of Buffalo to drop this.

Pats sure up the line

Pats grabbed Terrance Knighton on a super cheap deal. Such a Patriots move it hurts. This sures up their front seven and makes their defence that much more formidable. Knighton's always been an interesting case. Guys was dominant in denver and instead of cashing in, he took a one year, prove it deal in washington. The skins completely mismanaged it by having him play less then 50% of the snaps. Once again he was overlooked in free agency and wouldn't you know it, he falls into the fuckin pats lap. They always seem to make these obviously intelligent move. It makes you wonder sometimes what the other 31 teams are doing. Fuckin Pats man, fuckin pats.
