The XFL rule that the NFL must adopt

The XFL has burst onto the scene. By burst I mean the league has yet to fold. In all seriousness, as a football fan I am just happy there is semi-coherent football being played. Sure quarterback play isn't up to snuff (with the exception of a couple guys) but the XFL is doing something very cool. Other leagues have failed because they try and emulate or compete with the NFL. The XFL had basically filled a need (spring football) and provided enough wild concepts to keep your average fan somewhat interested. Honestly thats all football loving degenerates like myself need. The NFL would be wise to check their immense egos and improve their game through a key rule change.  The adoption of the XFL's revolutionary kickoff structure is a must for the league. If you are unfamiliar, the kicker kicks off from the normal distance (the 30). The gunners and blocker are placed in a stationary position at the opponents 35, facing each other. The kicker then kicks the ball and the players are not aloud to move until the ball is received by the returner. Play then commences as normal. I would be surprised if the NFL didn't pick this up in the next 2 years. They have experimented with taking away the kickoff away under the lazy vale of player safety. This way the league would be able to say they care about the players and the fans would not be robbed of the most exciting play in the game: a kick return touchdown. Win-win, things are never so simple however.
