Few thoughts about the draft thus far

- The Browns made the right call with mayfield, the guys is an absolute stud and proven winner. Something the franchise could desperately use

- The Giants got the best player in the draft in Saquon Barkley. He will take pressure off Eli and open things up for Beckham. The Giants are a sleeper offence to watch this year

- Jets got their man in Darnold. Great value at number 3, despite his issue with turnovers he has all the tools to succeed

- The Bills made a huge mistake drafting Josh Allen. This guy will go down as one of the biggest draft busts of all time

- Ward was more of a need pick for the Browns but he is absolutely the best corner in the draft.

- Chubb is an absolute steal at 5, he and Von Miller should make life hell for opposing QBs

- Quenton Nelson fills an immediate need for the Colts and has the potential to be a prennial pro bowler

- The Cardinals got the steal of the draft with Josh Rosen. He is the most pro ready prospect, as well as the best pure passer in the draft

- Dolphins napped a top ten talent in Fitzpatrick who can play the slot and team with Reshad Jones as the free safety

- Derwin James was an excellent value pick that fills a great need for San Diego. He will be an immediate impact player in the viegn of Kam Chancellor. Should establish a physical tempo to an already excellent defence

Teddy Bridgewater: The Panthers decided to turn the page on Cam Newton after another injury- plagued season. The bizarrely haired, hieroglyphic writing QB was due for a change of scenery. Bridgewater, on the other hand, flashed serious skill while Drew Brees was on the shelf. He is still only 27 and could be a very good quarterback for Matt Rhule and co. Tom Brady

The man, the myth, the legend. A fixture of professional sports for the last 20 years. Tom Brady seemed destine to ride off into the sunset on a half functional body and a relatively intact brain, donning a Patriots jersey. It seems that the ancient quarterback and his morally inept team had something else in mind. Brady met with Belicheck and thats that, no progress, no give and take. It seemed like a rather Belicheckian end to a 20 year long domination tour. The coach, of course, is known as an analytical decision maker who rather cut a player too early than too late. Anyone who watched Brady last year saw a noticeable drop in all statistical categories. When you arer 42 years old it is not unreasonable to see a steady decline in production. The XFL rule that the NFL must adopt

The XFL has burst onto the scene. By burst I mean the league has yet to fold. In all seriousness, as a football fan I am just happy there is semi-coherent football being played. Sure quarterback play isn't up to snuff (with the exception of a couple guys) but the XFL is doing something very cool. Other leagues have failed because they try and emulate or compete with the NFL. The XFL had basically filled a need (spring football) and provided enough wild concepts to keep your average fan somewhat interested. Honestly thats all football loving degenerates like myself need. The NFL would be wise to check their immense egos and improve their game through a key rule change.  The adoption of the XFL's revolutionary kickoff structure is a must for the league.
