Picks for this week
Baltimore- Tennesse
Pick: baltimore takes this one easily. The Titans are focused on next year and that is reflected in their starting of rookies at running back, quarterback and left tackle
Kansas City-Buffalo
Pick: I see a defensive struggle on the horizon in this game. Both teams get after the quarterback, with opportunistic secondaries. Its going to come down to who has the better quarterback. I might be in the minority but I still do not trust Kyle orton. Chiefs in a close one
Miami-Detroit
Pick: Another great defensive match up. Miami has been playing out of their mind recently, while detroit has found ways to win without key contributors. Calvin Johnson's return will test Miami's secondary. However I see the phins continuing their hot streak by controlling the ball and forcing stafford to throw the ball deep, allowing Cam wake and olivier vernon to pin their ears back. Miami takes it by one score
Dallas-Jacksonville
Pick: Jacksonville has some momentum. Denard Robinson has been a revelation and the defence looks like it belongs to an NFL team. This team is still a year away. On the opposite side the Cowboys are going to be desperate for a win, coming off the arizona game. Dallas in a blow out
San Fran- New Orleans
Pick: San Fran looks lost. Their inability to trust the running game is perplexing. Their defence is still a force to be reckoned with but Kaepernick's inconsistencies hurt this team. On the other side, New Orleans is doing their usual "oh we have to start playing winning ball now" thing. If history serves the Saints are going to start streaking and the win against the Pack signified the shift to the Drew Brees lead team we know and love. Saints in a slug fest
Pitt-NYJ
Pick: the NFL's weakest secondary versus the hottest quarterback in the league. Im just going to save some time and say Pitt wins huge
ATL-TB
Pick: Tampa is starting Mcown, which essentially means they are going to lose. You always ride it out with the young guy in a lost season (glennon) Atlanta has not been good but their best game of the season came against the listless Bucs. I see Matt Ryan having a big day in a blowout.
Denver- Oakland
Pick: An angry Peyton Manning will have a signature day as he looks to rebound from a rough outing against the Pats. I love what Derrick Carr and Kahlil Mack are doing but this team will have to wait another week to find their first win
STL-ARI
Pick: This will be a throwback NFC West battle. Defences will dictate this game. If Jeff Fisher knows one thing its how to play within the division, with wins against Seattle and San Fran. However Zona is playing some of the best football in the league right now. This game will be decided by one score and the Cards will slide by in the game of the week
NYG-SEA
Pick: The Hawks have quietly (yes i said quietly) won their last two games. The key for this team is to avoid the spotlight, run the ball and play strong defence. The Hawks will keep this up against the incredibly inconsistent Giants. Even if good Eli shows up, they will be hard pressed to pull a win out against a team that is just hitting their stride. Hawks win big
Chi-GB
Pick: I would love to say that the Bears get back on track in this one but Aaron Rodgers and co. straight up own this matchup. The Pack are for real and they will pull this one out in a shoot out. I still do not trust either defence and the bears offence will come to play but that defence (especially minus Houston) is listless and lacks identity. The bears slide continues
Car-Phi
Pick: Lets stop this mark sanchez hype in its tracks. The guys played a half of football and I'm hearing that he should start over Nick Foles. Everyone needs to relax, they had a winning record before Sanchez and this is the Butt fumble guy. Until he can put a full game together thats all he is to me. Carolina is due for a win. Cam Newton will bounce back against this shaky secondary and the defence will bring out Sanchez's erratic side. Carolina will win by at least ten points
